Software Updates

I've had my 21 SR since October, 2021. Since then I only received one software update many months ago. I see there are numerous updates being sent out, but, they only pertain to the 22 models. What are us 21 owners second class citizens? Clearly with all the bugs, you would expect there to be updates. Have any other 21 owners received any recent updates? JEEP CARES, ARE YOU LISTENING? CAN YOU PLEASE COMMENT?

I have not received any updates since we picked up our Jeep GCL Overland in November of 2021. We have had the car in the shop twice for The screen going blank and coming back on and that Apple Car play no longer works. Both times they ensured me that a Software Patch is coming. We have had our jeep for over a year and zero help. I wonder if apple car play issues would be considered Lemon Law. May need to drop it off again soon. I had to buy a 110.00 Magic link box just so I can have Apple Car play. If @JeepCares would pay me 110 dollars I would live with it. I think I will make another appointment and waste their time (and Mine) to fix the issue. This type of BS has to stop. Second and Last Jeep for Us. This will include any product out there they make. What a joke. I tell everyone that asks me about the Jeep GCL that we love the vehicle but there are issues that we cannot get them to fix. So buyer beware. And suggest they buy a Hyundai Palisades or Kia Telluride. Which is what we should have bought in the first place. Our 2022 23k Kia Forte has zero Carplay issues. Our 64k Jeep does. POS. BS POS BS POS.

Hello jeepgrady,

We appreciate the shout! Our social platforms are aware of the feedback being shared across the forum and share it back to the proper internal teams for review. However, we have not received additional details on the status of an update at this time, but we will certainly share information with you once they're shared with us.

This is the TYPICAL replay from Jeep! Been hearing it for 1 year now. Useless.

There is a multi hour update for the 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I was looking at it last week with my service advisor. Said it updated many of the modules throughout the car! I am waiting until Mid January when people are back from vacation in case something goes awry!

Thanks for the response, but, I'm referring to the OTA Uconnect updates.

Do you know when this update was released?

Also, does anyone know if .99 is still the latest version for UConnect on the 2021s?

I was made aware of it on Novemer 22. The dealer did not see it in their system, so they had to chat with Jeep Connect.
Here’s the info for it - TSB 08-183-22.

My 21 still has .99.

Does your weather page work after this update? That is the only thing that has never worked reliably for me, I’m wondering if this update fixes that.

The dealer spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out why I got an error message when trying to use the weather app, only to find out later that a subscription is required. I have no idea why an error message displays instead of a notification that the app requires a subscription.

Hmm…I was almost positive that the weather page was part of standard Uconnect and not subscription based. I think there’s a lot of confusion even with dealers regarding the system. Can anyone else chime in on the weather page?
