I agree. I had it on and off for the first few months of ownership. Now it never comes on... The app looks like it is trying to load but never does.

I was searching other forums and other Stellantis vehicles seem to have received this update back in March 2023.
I have: 2021 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L OVERLAND 4X4

My update has been trying for the last few days. Keep getting an error message that the update failed. I have a 2021 Overland.

Same here. This is the error I am getting. It’s actually the first OTA I’ve seen since buying it back in Nov’21. All the other ones up to .99 were done at the dealer.

Some WL's were unable to receive OTA updates.
Notice was recently mailed showing how to reset the system.

Update received for my '21 as well. I haven't seen a comprehensive list of changes yet, but it fixes my pet peeves:
- Offers to handoff a phone call back to the phone when leaving the vehicle (would previously keep the head unit powered and not release the call on iPhone)
- Activating massaging seats using the door button no longer takes the user out of CarPlay / Screen Mirroring. Previously, using the physical button would change the head unit to the last used UConnect screen.
- Larger volume sliders

Got mine today too! We finally got the phone ringer slider on the volume controls on the 21s. No more getting scared when the phone rings lol.

I had my 21 in the shop for some fixes (ac charge was low, steering click, and a rattling loose screw in my front pass door - all fixed under warranty) - and they updated the radio. Much much better set up - enhanced icons and responsiveness. Someone in software def drove a GCL with Uconnect and made a list things needing fixes. I don’t know if this is in my mind or not: but I feel like the entire truck operates better now.

The developers always know it’s terrible and would prefer to improve it. It’s the managers and “leaders” that keep it from happening.

The update ended up going through today. Got a message that it was available when I got home in the am. Hit update and when I was leaving in the afternoon saw a message that it was updated. Prior to today, I was only seeing that error code from the screenshot. First OTA update in almost 2 years of ownership!

As everyone else mentioned, refreshed UI and a faster input response time is what I’ve noticed so far.

It’s a very early 21 production. I am wondering if all model years are now on the same version. I remember the 21s being on a different version compared to the 22s at some point last year.

Hi Jrseidel,

Sorry to hear the update didn't go through! If you're receiving the Uconnect Error Code -4 Message, it generally means there may have been interference or a drop in the cellular network when the update was trying to apply itself to the radio. It will make more attempts, but you're welcome to PM us if it's not successful soon.
