"Real Jeep" Traitor

After much consideration, my wife and I decided to trade in our white 18 JLUR for a white 21 GCL Altitude with the 2nd row bench and tow group. Expected delivery is early-November and we're super excited to have a more roomy and luxurious Jeep in the garage. Sure some of the Jeep-purists will call this a downgrade, but we'd decided that the everyday noisy, rough ride of the JLUR was not worth the occasional off-road adventure; besides, we'd taken it to all the main 4x4 destinations in Utah already.

Hoping that the Laredo/Altitude trims are able to avoid some of the 1st year issues that typically plague all-new vehicles. My JLUR was in for a variety of issues over the first 1-2 years, but it's been solid over the past 12-18 months.

Sold my built JK (that I even had a regear appointment pending on!) for my GCL Overland and never looked back! As they say: the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else!

Turns out you can't order an Altitude with the 2nd row bench currently, so we upgraded to a Limited and they knocked $1500 off the sale price. I also swapped the trailer tow group for the navigation and upgraded speakers since the trailer tow requires a few other options that really jack up the price...

Only thing is you lose the black trim options that the Altitude has to offer, but that’s just a matter of preference. I personally like the Altitude for having zero chrome accents.

Yeah, we actually decided to go with the black exterior after switching to the Limited trim because the white just doesn't look as good with that trim IMO. I'm still a little bugged that you can't get the bench in the Altitude as we were happy with all of the standard features.

Well, our salesman said our Jeep is done! Unfortunately, when we made the request to change the exterior to black, it had already reached D status, so white it is! It's expected to arrive in Utah on the 10th of this month, so shortly after that he said it should be ready for pickup.

It's here! We get to sign paperwork and take it home tomorrow! From placing the order to delivery only took 6 weeks!

It's officially ours now! They gave us $44,500 for our 2018 JLUR (A/T + Black Hardtop) and discounted the new one by $2,000, so I feel pretty good about our deal!
