Radar detector hardwire (invisacord)

I have had dealers tell me if you have a problem after you do this (hardwire) good luck with warranty claims fyi. It's not worth the risk to me.

The Magnuson Moss warranty act protects consumers from ridiculous statements like that that come from dealers. Hardwiring a radar detector can't screw anything up or void any warranty issues.

Yea I know all about the Magnuson Act:) but when you have this much technology that these cars have in them, and you start splicing wires etc... it's not worth the headaches. I had a 2016 GMC truck and 2017 Chevy Suburban that I let a high end stereo shop install a V1 and a camera in. Everytime I ran it thru a carwash the check engine light would turn on and the vehicle would not run on all cylinders etc... After months of trouble shooting they(Dealer) pulled the added stuff out and both trucks went back to normal with never an issue again. The dealer will not even add aftermarket electronics because of probelms that can occur etc...
I just mount my detectors high and tight so others can't see it. Plus I have tinted windows etc...

The invisacord clips in the receiver of the plug. You don't splice or cut any of the wires. You plug it in to the power and ground receptor. If the dealer wants to create grief I can pull it out and it is like it was never there.

Also I've been in for warranty, they didn't give a shit about the plug

I have done this on multiple cars with no warranty issues or pushback from any dealers.

If you're splicing anything then you're doing it wrong!
