Price Negotiated From MSRP:

JP022_031GCjgrnqeub0torc9av73ttrdrf5k.jpg

A few of our members have mentioned the desire to have a price-paid thread, so I have decided to do one and pin it here so it will be easy for everyone to find.

I think the best way to make this thread, is as follows...

  • MSRP of the specific vehicle
  • What Rebates and Incentives were applied and $ amounts
  • Any Further Negotiations
  • Final Price
Please DO NOT include trade-in values, taxes, OTD price, or anything like that, as those are all variable depending on where you live and etc. Rebates and incentives are also regional so also please post up where you purchased the truck and when.

Example:

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland

MSRP $64,440
-$10,000 rebate from Jeep
-$1000 skilled trades rebate
-$3940 additional negotiated at the dealer
=$49,500 paid

I think adding what State you are in would be helpful.

MA Purchase
Summit Reserve - $65,930
Discount -$300
Price paid $65,630.

I don't qualify for any of the Jeep discount programs. All other dealerships were doing mark ups. I feel horrible I paid that much. But I needed a new car for my wife. Didn't want to chance anything with this crazy chip shortage. Already got screwed out of a Yukon earlier in the year due to it.

As an aside, I decide to sell the old car to carvana instead of trade in. Couldn't have been easier. Got $5k more than the dealer was willing to do. So maybe I actually got a $5k discount. Yeah, yeah we'll go with that.

I can’t believe these prices. I’m waiting a few more months for my dealer to bring back the special ordering. At that point I’ll be able to custom order what I want and get it for 7% below invoice like I did my Gladiator Rubicon Diesel earlier in the year.

Jeep Wave now includes 3 years of oil changes & rotations, as well as loaner
Are you sure about this?
The Jeep wave page doesn't say 3 years of oil changes & rotations, it reads "Your first three oil changes and tire rotations are covered during the first 36 months of ownership"
And its not a loaner but a rental up to $35 for same day service.

The rental process is annoying FYI, so if you don't really need it, I wouldn't bother. With my JLU (sold), you either wait for an employee to bring the Enterprise (or similar) rental to the shop or get a ride there and vice versa with return. It's not worth it unless you expect multiple days. I did have to get towed from home using Jeep Wave which was smooth and legit free including the repair - the Wrangler was stuck in park for unknown reasons. I also opted not to get the rental as I knew I had a ride to pick it up. The 3rd party tow company arrived in about an hour and handled after hours drop off at the local dealer. Also, IMO, the free oil change is barely worth that it takes all damn day.

Order this specimen on 11/6/21
2022 Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve - $60,865
25U Customer Preferred Package - $4,000
5.7L V8 Hemi Engine - $3,295
Mopar Bright Side Steps- $975
Luxury Tech Group V - $245
Advance ProTech Group IV - $1,995
Destination Charge (CA) - $1,795
Total MSRP = $73,170
Dealer wanted $3,000 "market adjustment" markup (within 200 miles markups are $3,000-$7,000). Told the dealer you have one shot to remove that markup and I'll buy at MSRP or I will buy from at MSRP from someone else. They were quick at removing it and selling to me at MSRP with no markup.

I was completely willing to pay MSRP; I couldn’t find one of these vehicles anywhere (even out of state), and this one had everything I wanted. And given the long build waits and deleted options that I read about in this forum, getting the vehicle I wanted in just one week for $1,215 off MSRP made me happy. Even better, my trade was worth a few bucks more than the new Jeep (they gave me a great offer), so I paid $0 in sales tax. All things considered, I was very happy with my deal.
