Over the Air software downloads

I finally got my car to recognize and connect to my home Wi-Fi network. I then checked the box authorizing software updates on this connection. What next? Does it download automatically? Do I have to take a further action to download new software? Is there a note confirming that new software has downloaded successfully? There is nothing at all in the Owner's Manual about this. Thank you

I have no idea. Due to WIFI screen layout/font sizes my screen says "Connec........" I cannot tell if it is connecting or connected due to the remaining letters being cut off. The text box size is too small and has went unnoticed by programmers.

I have never seen a single notification come from the wifi connection. To be honest, at one point I disabled it thinking maybe it was causing OTA updates via the 4G link to become blocked or disabled.
