No Power

Went to start my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L with 22,000 miles. Key fobs would not open doors. Used key to enter no power seats, no start , no lights. Checked voltage at battery jump start terminals 4.76 volts. Car was perfectly fine yesterday. Any input would be apreciated !

you might check about people having issues with rear hatch latches causing battery's to go dead, seem like it also may have been mentioned on this form.
If you type in (Rear latch issues) on the upper right of this page, you may find some direction.

Tried A fully charged Noco booster [1000 amps ] and it would not turn over . Tow should be here any minute . Something is stopping the normal start procedure.

if a V6 they have had stop/start issues and batteries failing. Constant starting from constant stopping and improper charging due to short trips causes excessive wear. Also had battery draining issues due to amplifiers and rear door hatches. All of the above have TSB’s/fixes associated with them. All are well known issues and can be searched. Stop start tech sounds good and does save some fuel at the expense of the starter and battery.

Dealer is going to replace the main battery in hopes of resolving the start/stop issue and the many error codes. The bad news is that they can't get a hold of one until nearly 3 weeks from now.

No issues after batteries being replaced. Voltages staying at the proper levels. Crappy OEM batteries seem to be the reason.

Had the same thing happen the other morning and just thought to come here for advice. Our battery failed the Autozone test, but passed the dealer test multiple times. We've got a service light for the ESS on now though, so I have to take it back in. I'm hoping they're aware of the TSB for the rear latch.

This. All brands are suffering from this. My friend’s new GMC, my neighbors new Chevy Colorado, my 21 Jeep GCL. Tow truck driver said he ties new cars that are dead all day long. The new batteries are just awful. Yet there is a plan to go electric soon??? Just how is that going to work out?

funny how all of the affected vehicles use stop/start.
I’m not sure what is different though with recent cars because I have had two Durangos previously going back to 2012 and both had the start/stop and neither ever had any issues with it not working as designed and neither truck ever died on me in a total of 10 years. I never had any real mechanical issue or tech issue with either truck. I had the back up sensor fail on one about 4 years after I bought it and on the same truck the air duct for the rear of the truck was kinked up from the factory so no cool air or got to the back. They had to remove the headliner to put new ductwork in. Those trucks overall were pretty solid. I almost got another one until I saw the GCL and saw its interior and sharp looking exterior. The third row seating sealed the deal. I had wanted a Grand Cherokee way back when I bought each Durango but I liked the third row seating in the Durango so that’s what I went with. I really have to say though I have had a few issues with my GCL limited and the dealership has displayed incompetence almost EVERY time I’ve been there, even for regular service (I have two GCLs so I’ve been there more than the avg person) but corporate Stellantis has been all over any issue I have had. My ‘21 overland has had zero issues thus far. Stellantis have bent over backwards whenever i have reached out to them and the dealership attitude changed drastically each time. It does seem very wrong though that you need to know someone to get things to go right. There are plenty of people that go in and just listen to dealership bs and wait forever to get their cars fixed. I think being a new platform it created some of these issues. The dealerships seem ill equipped to deal with these issues. I do hear similar stories with other brand dealerships though. Sadly I think this is the current state of affairs with all car dealerships.

Disabled auto door locks, front seat belt chime & triple horn honk.
Set a steering wheel button security sequence PIN...must be entered before the vehicle can be driven...still allows remote start...extra level of theft deterrence.

Is there a way to prove to a dealer they can do this? My dealer told me outright there is no way to disable the triple horn honk.
