New Tire Pressure sensors

My daughter recently bought a new GCL Limited. She told me her low tire pressure light came on [ cold weather dropped the pressure a bit] . She went to air them up and when the tires got to 36psi the horn honked and lights flashed for all four tires as she aired them. I asked the tech about it and he said yes that's how they do now. He also said the new Hornet shows the oil level of the engine on the dash.
