Mopar rear bumper protector

Rear bumper protector arrived today for my L, made by mopar. I paid $98. Well once opened I find a piece of film with no install instructions, no spray bottles (if using water?), no solutions, and no notice that it requires pro install. Is it dry install, wet install? On top of everything there is a line where film has been lifted in the middle of the protector with dust underneath as the film was folded for shipping. For $98 this is what we get? I wont even attempt an install and will ship this back to mopar. What is going on with Jeep and Mopar ?? I had many jeeps before, never had these issues with cars and add on mopar products. Looks like quality is going downhill.

It's bizarre that they didn't include directions at least. That said, I can't imagine it's anything other than a wet install, since that's how all that stuff works (no matter the brand) for all the other types.

I too purchased this protective film which simply covers the top of the rear bumper. I did decide to have my front windows lightly ceramic tinted to cut back on the uv rays as well as instal a protective film on the front door sills. The tint person was more than glad to install the rear bumper film. My arrived in much the same condition but it did include the instructions. The tint person didn’t even look at the instructions and simply put it on. The film has Jeep spelled out dead center so there is no mixing it up. The clear film came out great and adds some peace of mind. Hope this helped.

Just fine a detail shop in your area that does stek or xpel ppf and have them do one for you it will be 10x better than the jeep one

Amazon or ebay > rubber rear bumper protector
So it is a universal fit and not a specific WL fit from Mopar.
It has such a narrow (2 1/4" width) sill that most universal fit are wider - did you cut yours down to fit?

I like the pad, but I think the 'edge' of the bumper is the part that's going to take a lot of beating in my case (luggage, camping gear, photo equipment, etc) so the clear PPF seems like a better overall option. Something to consider when weighing the options.
