Little “Quirks”?

Picked up my WL Limited yesterday. Was obviously super excited but have since encountered many of the issues that have been mentioned here and on FB.
  • My car put itself in to Park while I was driving at a relatively low speed. I was traveling along a busy retail corridor and am lucky I didn't get rear ended.
    • My sales guy suggested I disable the Pedestrian Emergency Braking and Front Collision assist automatic braking while a potential solution is worked out by Jeep. Seems like either could be the culprit, so fingers crossed in the meantime.
  • Service 4WD light came on last night as I was idling in my driveway. Turned the car on and off several times and it stayed on but was off this morning.
  • There was a small impact "star" on the windshield, likely caused while in transit. No one at the dealership noticed it and now a 6-inch (and growing) crack has started spreading.
    • Just bad luck, obviously, and my dealer is ordering a new windshield from Jeep that should be here in a "few weeks." Meanwhile the crack has grown a few inches since this morning.
  • Many of the UConnect issues that have been noted here and on Facebook are happening to me as well.
Lastly it seems like I'm feeling an awful lot of vibration in the accelerator and brake pedals. When the engine really gets going, the amount that I'm feeling in my foot just seems excessive. This could just be an adjustment from my Tahoe that I'm just not used to yet. Does anyone here have any thoughts on their experience with this? Is it just a "Jeep thing?" Had a '99 Cherokee and '06 GC so it's been awhile.
Mine put itself into park as well. I was told by the dealer that if you stop but then take your foot off and do not accelerate the car will park thinking you forgot to put it in park.

Today while driving our new GS L Summit Reserve we were slowing for a stop light and a message came on the speedometer screen saying to put the car in park. At the time we were still travelling approximately 10 miles per hour so we of course couldn't put the car in park... When we did get stopped at the light and tried to start out again we noticed that the car had put itself in "park" and we could not change it out of park. Out of frustration and trying a number of different things, we eventually shut the ignition off and restarted the car and this did allow us to put the car in gear. It was a very unnerving situation... has anyone else had this happen?

I think the engine sounds “off” and seems to rumble/shake the engine bay until it warms up.
I think this only happens on the first startup of the day, since it’s not cold out.
anyone else?
I noticed this as well, the exhaust sounds different and there is a slight shimmy to the engine that can be felt. But like you it’s only in the first startup of the day. Will keep an eye on it to see if gets worse or better

I have brought this up with our dealer but they just looked at me with blank stares... they said that these quirks are normal in new cars...
I have grown to realise that perhaps the dealership we are working with is not the dealership we should be dealing with long term. Do you give recommendations for service centers for your vehicles? We live in the San Antonio/New Braunfels Texas area.

Curious if anyone has had any issues or just weird things with their new GCL. I bought an Overland with the McIntosh 19 speaker option. I noticed upon startup there is this very loud noise that sounds like excessive bass. It lasts for 10 seconds and there is no audio playing. I also had the panic alarm go off randomly twice last night while I was standing near it, with my key fob and the doors locked. I was not pressing any buttons.
i noticed the excessive bass like noise also, after having it for 2 weeks now, it's the exhaust. It also makes the noise when down shifting from around 3rd down to 2nd gear.....

Anything further on this? I got a SR two weeks ago and am experiencing this. I have not been to completely isolate the conditions but it seems to be low speeds and early in the day. TIA.
