Ordered a GCL 2022 SR V8 10/15.
Got VIN pretty quickly within the next 2 weeks.
In D since Oct 22nd.
11/19: All materials needed have been received.

Dealer told me 6-12 weeks from order to delivery. Jeep told me 7-9 weeks from order to delivery. We are in week 6!
My previous comment above. Jeep chat says D1. Got a ship date of 12/9 this morning from the dealer.

I also have a 2022 on order.
Overland V6 all available packages, no bench.
Ordered 11/3
Currently in D1 status
Est ship date 12/7
Thats likely to be pushed out but happy it will not be too long of a wait.

I ordered a 2022 SR V6 with all packages including bright sidesteps on 10/14 as part of a buyback.
I’m still in D status. My repurchase coordinator has assured me my build will be priority since it is part of a buyback. I have never been too confident of that assurance.

The only thing I can recommend in case they are not doing this. Ask them to share with you a print screen of their ordering system. Did they order your vehicle when you actually agreed with them?
There’s no reason for your vehicle to be in D still unless the steps are the delay?
Its the only difference between our builds.

It might be the sidesteps. I ordered a 2022 SR V6 a week after you (10/21) with black side steps, and it's still in D status as well.

I would love to get mine before Christmas or even before year end. However, I wouldn't be upset if it doesn't happen since I was told 10-14 weeks. I'm not sure if that helps you though. I can understand your frustration given the buyback situation. I've seen some information which suggested they start 2022 production in a little over a week from today, so hopefully that info was correct and yours is one the first off the line.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered a 2022 SR V6 on 10/16 and have been in the D status for a few weeks now. I got everything but the running boards. Somebody on this thread suggested 2022 production starts 12/2 and I figured the SR V6 would be pretty high on the list. Jeep chat has said the past 2 weeks that they are still gathering parts and dealer has still said D status. Maybe it'll change over this week sometime.

Did anyone receive a MY 21 that had the air suspension that they ordered it with? I ordered back on July 9th and just got a build sheet saying that the air suspension was deleted after being promised for 4 months by my salesman that it was only taking so long because they guarantee I'll get it the way it was ordered. At this point I'm ready to cancel and keep my current Jeep.

Yes, I ordered in July and I see my build sheet and window sticker with air suspension. It says semi active damping though and not active damping.

It's hard to believe, after a LONG 18 weeks from order on July 27th, I finally took delivery of my 2021 JCL Overland V8 last night! It does have the air suspension as ordered. It would have taken a little longer, but the dealer wanted to get it delivered before the end of the month and actually went to the railyard over 2 hours away and picked it up. Thanks to you all on here, I had them do all updates and recalls prior to delivery and I had them check the fuses to make sure they were not loose. Loving it so far and hoping for smooth sailing. Also hoping that those of you who haven't received yours yet will get it quicker than I got mine!

Unfortunately if you had a 2021 V6 Overland/Summit that was built after mid August you are getting the delete.
Only V8 and/or Summit Reserve kept the air suspension.

Just wanted to give a timeline for mine..
2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve with the Hemi V8
Ordered 4-26-21
Moved to D1 on 8-9-21
No notification of build start date..
Notified on 11-22-21 That it was built, and already in transit.
Expected arrival date is 12-9-21

So far I have confirmed that Air Suspension IS included.
Have not been able to confirm towing package or not yet.
Window Sticker does not offer any discounts for removed equipment, so I am under the assumption that nothing was removed.

Thanks for letting me know. I wish my dealership would have told me that.

Today (12/1) was one of the rumored dates to start building MY 22. Has anyone heard if they did start?

Just got an update from Jeep chat. They said that it's in the Paint stage, with no dealer eta yet. So updated timeline for folks. Hoping this materializes soon!

10/9: ordered a 22 L Summit, V6
10/18: dealership told me that a VIN and an order number was established
10/27: I got a email from Jeep cares
11/3: dealership said that its in "D" status and Jeep chat said that typically production starts after 7-9 weeks from order, which would put us around 11/27 at 7 weeks. They mentioned that once production starts, could take up to 10 days to complete.
11/11: No longer in D status
11/16: All Parts have been received and should enter the build process shortly
12/1: Paint stage

7.5 weeks to the day since the order. 8 weeks on Saturday. Hope this keeps moving?!

I checked with Jeep chat this morning at like 9/10am and they said that my jeep was in "all materials gathered, waiting for production stage". I just checked at 2:30pm today (bc I am impatient) and jeep chat said that it was in Paint status. I guess that's a yes? I have a 22 JGC L Summit

@Babolat I am very curious what is on your build sheet. Would you be okay with sharing it with us? If you don't want to put your VIN up, maybe copy/paste the contents of the PDF without the VIN?

Thanks!
