Jeep chat said my V6 GCL SR is in paint stage. Ordered it 11/22. My dealer told me days ago an estimated shipping date of 1/20. That’s not going to happen at this point, but very glad to finally be in production!!

If it's in paint today, it will probably ship to the railyard on Friday and then on the train to you. The big question mark seems to be how long it takes a truck to deliver it from the receiving trainyard to your dealer, I think that's where the big hold up seems to be.

My timeline posted earlier is for a V6 SR that I ordered a couple days after you. Have you checked with your dealer regarding a status update recently?

Do all GC ship out by train?? I’m in Indiana about a 6 hr drive to Detroit.

Probably, I would guess maybe not if it was really local to Detroit. As soon as it ships your dealer will be able to check his system and it will say how it's being delivered.

I’m in trim stage today and the dealer said it is shipped by both train and truck. We are only 6 hrs from Detroit and he said they have a Wrangler that was shipped 2 weeks ago!!

My V6 SR hit paint today. 🎉

Started shopping for some accessories. The canvasback cargo liners and the tux mat floor mats (when they become available) look nice.

I placed my order on 12/21 and while checking the status of the order today with the dealer, I saw the price increased. Dealer told me this is due to the recent price increase Jeep did. Is this allowed? Are they allowed to increase price for an order I have already placed? I have made a 500$ deposit while placing the order as well.

They can do whatever they want.
Now, if your dealer is fair they should hold the price at the time you ordered. Did you negotiate a price or you placed the order without negotiating a sale price?
You are better losing the $500 and finding a dealer willing to sell below invoice if your dealer doesnt treat you well.

They can unless you have a written sale price that is signed. Without something that is written stating the exact price they are going you the vehicle, all you have is an estimate. The bottom of the POC sheet they give you when you place the order usually states that the prices are "tenative and subject to change or correction without prior notice." However, most of the time I would expect the dealer would just eat it to make the customer happy. The deposit just means they can't sell your vehicle to someone else who is willing to pay more, and that it is in fact yours to purchase unless you cancel the order.

I am going for a lease and I am agreed to get a 8.5% discount on invoice price as sale price. So I am not sure if it’s worth fighting with them since I can’t find a matching offer anywhere near.
