I must correct you. That video shows the main, standard size battery. The much smaller start/stop, auxiliary battery is under the passenger seat.

@JeepCares are you listening? These issues (mine and plenty others that I see) are unacceptable.
I to have a 2021 GCL with lift gate battery drain issues. The dealership has had it now for five Weeks now. They have replaced latch and sensors and still having battery Drain .The service reps have started a stars case withJeep but still no answers. I’m frustrated they’re frustrated but Jeep keeps telling the service department to send more data. With advice from dealer I opened a claim with Jeep customer service.Jeep told me someone would call in two to three days.I called again after five days with no response . I informed dealer they had ten more days to fix the problems after that I will be showing up at dealership for either Jeep or dealership to buy me out .Service rep agrees with me and thinks lemon law might apply because of having GCL in dealership for so long with no remedies.

Is the what they're calling the radio/telematics unit a single module in the center console? That, and the liftgate latch battery drain, seems to be the source of most of the problems reported so far. Hopefully this will confirm that the design is viable when the components meet their spec.
Mine is the lift gate battery drain . The Hail Mary for me is for the regional stars rep to come in and force recalibration on the replacement parts.I hope it works because my two options are work out trade with dealership or sue Jeep in lemon law case and who knows how long that will take ,meanwhile monthly payments keep going in.Never had these kind of problems with GMC . Will wait to see what new 2024 Acadia looks like and go from there.

Thanks I went to gmc website to seethe cost if I built one . I’ve heard they are going to start building them in March will see.I have checked out Michigan lemon law and getting my ducks in a row to battle Jeep over this. The dealership reps have done the best they can and kept me informed I have no issue with them. It just proves you can’t make a club sandwich out of a bag of crap .

Same. So are you still driving yours? Is it still draining the battery or are you avoiding it by not opening the back door?
Doesn’t matter .I closed lift gate by hand and came back within hour and little red Jeep with lift gate open showing in left bottom corner of instrument panel not to mention all the inside lights on lift gate flashing like a strobe light

Latest update finally got jeep back on Jan 26th.the new latch solved the battery drain problem but the service dept. Had to install a second module because the first one was bad.Everything seems to be working fine I hope it stays that way.The service manager delivered the Jeep personally and apologized for the delay in getting the problem solved he gave me a copy of all their work orders. With it being a stars work order that needs to be reviewed by Jeep corporate it might take a couple weeks to get reimbursed from Jeep for two months car payments for vehicle being down so long.

Latest update received check from Jeep for one month car payment.Did not get second month payment due to GCL was not at dealership long enough to qualify for second payment.People At Jeep wave were actually friendly and helpful. The next hurdle will be the recall letter coming in April on steering column issues.
