I've asked my dealership about the ceramic coating for the interior. They told me that it is an interior exterior coating for 2k that has a 7 year warranty. Does anyone have any real knowledge on this? If the product that worth it? Exterior sounds unnecessary to me, but I went with the super light interior and have 2 kids plus husband... soooo.... you know.

I’d say WAY too much. My dealer already had the ‘Xsilon’ exterior, interior + Sanitizer, windshield & whatever other kinds of snake oil they could say they applied for almost $2k markup.
I did not pay a dime for these dealer add-one, but still payed MSRP. That being said:
I just applied Torque Detail Ceramic shine which seems to be pretty high quality stuff. This stuff is much easier than the old way of doing a ceramic coating. This company says it could last up to a year before having to reapply, but I’d guess living outside in the Midwest area I’ll do it 4 times per year.
Exterior coating is where it’s at. The interior is mostly leather, which I’m not sure a Silicon Oxide coating is even good for.
I supposedly had this applied by the dealer, but I made it better by properly prepping the paint and applying my $20/bottle protection.
very hydrophobic
More testing to come!

Any dealer or installer that "warranty" a coating is selling you snake oil. Especially a 7 year coating? That has me very skeptical. I've been detailing cars for 15 years now and coatings are helpful. I personally prefer paint sealants for the exterior and maintain the car with proper washing and toppers/ reappling every few months. As for the interior, the surfaces will be absorbant. I would only look to seal fibers within the interior, such as textiles and fabric. Leather needs thorough cleaning and conditioning.

I would get a fabric or textile sealant for carpet and mats. You can prevent liquids from being absorbed and staining through the hydrophobic properties. Gyeon makes a great one. You can order online through a website called Autogeek. I recommend spending some time reading the options there and reviewing their testing for what product and effort fits your lifestyle, for interior and exterior.
