Has anyone had a chrome delete done

I've seen a couple of posts in here of people saying they were going to do a chrome delete. I plan on doing one as well but wondering how others are doing it or have done it.

Did you buy High Altitude parts or did you have the chrome wrapped?

I looked online and haven't been able to find the High Altitude parts easily. I got a quote for a chrome delete wrap job on my Summit Reserve 4xe along with powder coating my wheels black and it came out to $2,750.

Update:
TLDR:
I researched chrome delete options, ended up going with a wrap/paint job while purchasing some gloss black parts (roof covers & badging)

I've been working on trying to figure out how to pull off a chrome delete on my black Summit Reserve ever since I got it. When I saw Jeep had the option for the High Altitude package on the 4xe I called my dealer to have it added as an option but he said it wasn't possible. I'm not sure if that package is actually even an order option yet.

So began my journey.

I started off looking at various parts that I could find online that were gloss black versions of the brushed aluminum chrome parts. I found nearly all of them online but it was difficult to tell which parts were gloss black. I checked in with a local dealership to review the list with the parts department and they only felt confident about a few of the parts fitting or being the right color.

I checked with my go-to paint shop and they suggest I get all the parts wrapped at first. I continued the discussion with the paint shop about how to handle the grill since it can't be wrapped and my contact there eventually thought about it more and offered to check into buying the gloss black parts and swapping them out with the chrome ones.

In the end, I had two options:
  1. Get the parts wrapped and painted
  2. Swap the chrome parts with gloss black
Both came out to be about the same price - $1,800. I ended up going with the wrap job since they offered a 3-year warranty and they were able to handle every part of the chrome delete including powder coating the wheels, painting the Summit badge black, and painting the grill black. They were also able to install the PPF interior kit on the piano black plastic. Ordering the parts would have taken longer since many were on backorder and I'm still not confident the parts would match 100%.

Here's a list of everything done:
  • Swapped out all badging except on sides
  • Powder coated wheels all black
  • Wrapped chrome trim pieces in matte black
  • Painted grill and adjacent trim piece gloss black
What's left:
  • Swap out the Grand Cherokee 🇺🇸 badging on the side with gloss black versions
  • Swap out the roof rail covers with the gloss back parts
Here are the results so far. Overall I'm really happy with the wrap job.
