Grand Cherokee L radio not playing

No reception on FM or AM? Try doing a factory reset. Go into the settings and all the way down to reset. Try that first. If that doesn’t fix it then you’ll need to take it to the dealer may be a hardware issue

There is actually a "restart radio" option in the menu that reboots the software. Same thing happened to me this past weekend during a road trip. Took about a minute to reboot and everything worked much smoother

I have this problem. No sound at all from the speakers doesn't matter if it's AM FM, Apple Carplay, or Sattelite radio. Won't even make a sound for seat belts.

I've taken it to the dealer had all the recalls and software systems updated and have done the radio restart suggested above.

The dealer is putting in a whole new stereo next week. We will see what happens.

I’m having the same issue, except the dealer keeps making me bring the car into the shop. I stay for hours with the same result…nothing working. They are telling me I have to wait for a new update coming at the end of the month. This started 2 weeks ago. Very frustrating!

I performed a radio "reboot" that temporarily fixed no sound coming from my radio, siriux xm and car play. The reboot also temporarily fixed car play connectivity issue.

Hi Everyone, I have the same issue, suddenly from one day to another, there is no Sound, USB, Radio, XMradio for any media option, there is dead silence. I made the factory reset, nothing happened. Any suggestion? Thank you!!

What ended up happening with the radio issue you had? Did they replace the unit?

Hi All, today went to the dealership, they attend to do the hardware reset, didn't help.
They said that in 24 hours next software update will pop up and it will automatically be downloaded, not sure how this works, he said it will be downloaded by Satelite connection.
And if this will not work, they will request a new Stereo Unit for my new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. only 2 months so frustrating.

I’d like to know the outcome of this

Anyone having issues with satellite radio losing signal. We can be driving and it cuts out. I can understand being in the garage or something but not like this. Never had a vehicle with bad reception on satellite radio. Radio has already been reset and updated but still same problem.
