Same issues, I have a Summit and I am not confident the forward collision would give any meaningful warning to give me enough time to brake and since I haven’t even gotten a warning I am also not confident the self-braking would activate. This is worrisome since I clearly wouldn’t have enough time to react if I got a warning. I also have the setting on “far”…
I know it’s easy to say we shouldn’t rely on these systems. Which I clearly don’t intend on, However we pay for these enhanced safety features that it would be nice if they worked on the off chance when you actually need them.
In addition, my park sensors are also slow and don’t seem useful unless you are crawling at a snails pace and then further wait for the beeping to occur and the image to show up.
In my Ford Explorer I get the proximity beeping much further away (which is intended and preferred) and it will produce at any speed (which is also intended and preferred)
I feel like something is off with both.
The Active Driving Assist and Auto Parking Assist do appear to work incredibly well on my GCL so I know the sensors work. It makes me think the software or the algorithms they use for speed and activation are wrong.
@JeepCares - have you seen other reports of this? Dealers have no way to test so we are stuck wondering with no real solution
