Forward Collision Warning

What is the cost of a new windshield on these anyway? I live where rocks are everywhere (WY uses crushed granite on the roads in the winter, and most of them are chip-seal pavement on top of that). I'm not looking forward to paying for a new one, but I know I will eventually. I imagine it won't be cheap (may be even worse as I have all the tech, with HUD, self-driving assist, etc).
Get full glass coverage on your vehicle. It's around $20 for 6 months. Sooo worth it.

Dealer quoted me $1,400 for the OEM windshield (not including labor to install) and $375 for recalibration. But all was covered under my insurance when mine got hit with a rock.
So, like $2,000+ for a windshield, and it can only be installed at the dealer? WOW. Or maybe it can be installed elsewhere, but then you have to pay the dealer 3 hrs labor to calibrate things? Oof.

I know, expensive! I think anyone can install it, but it should not be driven until the recalibration is completed. At least that's what I was told.
The Jeep dealer was the only one in my area that had the specific equipment to recalibrate this type of vehicle and sensors. So the local glass shop I used came to the dealer to install the glass so I didn't have to take it two different places.

It has been a while since I have been on here, but my advanced braking system just started working a few months ago. Not just once, but it has kicked on when needed several times since. I didn't have any other service or updates completed since the last time it was ever checked out. But just magically works now.

I can completely understand this. Out of the blue my Jeep yells at me if my hand are not tight on the steering wheel. Has never done this before.

Not entirely true, I do believe the drowsy driver detection is it’s own feature. That is, if that’s the warning being received.
Had it go off several times with the lane system on. Never with it off.. I like to drive with a very light touch on the wheel on long drives , light traffic situations.

Isn't drowsy driver detection only avail if you are a late model that had the camera installed above the steering wheel?

Surprisingly no, it uses “AI” (I say that loosely) to determine. Such as abnormal driving habits, swerving, drifting, length of trip and presence of hands on the wheel. I have had it go off before on a long drive. Nothing crazy but I started to loosen my grip on the wheel and made a slight drift motion and it popped up. I do not have an internal camera for the true “hands-free” driving.
