Extended warranties

Hi, each one is separate. Max care is just like regular warranty but with deductible. Wheel and tire is separate, and dings and dents is different. I was about to buy it but when I spoke to a specialist to get clarification, he told me they only fix wheels and only replace wheels when they cant balance them... So to me that's not worth it. I would rather buy a new wheel and replace then have somebody to attempt to repair unpainted polished wheel...

They also couldnt provide me with info on local dent shops so I can do a review. At this time I decided to pass on the warranty but still have time to decide otherwise down the road.

Yeah, repaired wheels aren't usually a good idea IMO. Even if they're structurally sound, every time I've bought 'remanufactured' wheels the clearcoat has peeled off within a year or so. I'd rather buy a used OEM-manufactured wheel on ebay than anything "remanufactured".

The dent removal is interesting, but in my town there's only one guy, and he drives into town one or two days a week from 100 miles away. If he's not 'approved' by them, I don't even see how I could use the insurance.

The Mopar warranties start from the date of vehicle purchase (to include the overlap of original factory warranty). Waiting for the original to expire might increase the cost.

FYI, I just purchased mine from https://chryslerwarrantydirect.com/ and got the 8yr/85,000 miles MAXIMUM CARE for $1395 ($200 Deductible).
is chryslerwarrantydirect trustable? Looking at the thread and other forums, it seems to be a genuine mopar warranty, but Instant Quote on the website doesn't show Grand Cherokee L and the contact email is a gmail account which is a little strange for a genuine mopar warranty company to not have its own email domain.

Just FYI, I got a quote from chryslerwarrantiesdirect.com for a 8/125k warranty with a $100 deductable for $3150 for a '21 GCL Overland V8. I called my local dealer and was offered the same for $4300, and told them about the online quote. They told me that's only about $50 over their cost, and they settled for $3250, so I bought it locally just because I prefer to keep the $ local and have the assurance that 'I bought the warranty here' so it 'felt' a little more 'certain' with regard to trusting the deal.

I called about the lack of listing the "L" after the Grand Cherokee and was told its the same price for both. When you go to order, you will have to provide your VIN to ensure the proper warranty. I placed my order and received an email shortly after from Kim at moparservicecontract.com with a PDF of my official paperwork. Not long after that it showed up under my VIN on mopar.com. It was a painless process.

Wanted to get your thoughts since our purchase of our 2022 GCL SR V8 came with at no additional charge a 20 year 200,000 mile warranty on top of the normal warranty. Attached is info pertaining to this 20 year warranty and wanted to get your thoughts on it since we were looking at the Mopar Maximum 8 year extended warranty prior to finding out about this warranty. Or dealership doesn't sell the Mopar extended warranty, only portfolio extended warranties (no thanks) so we were originally looking at purchasing Mopar EW online. Thoughts

MAXIMUM CARE 7 YEARS/60,000 MILES with $200 deductible was $800.
This is the third vehicle that I have purchased a Mopar extended warranty from Chrysler Factory Plans. I'm a low mileage driver so I only went for 60,000 miles.

Thank you for the info! My dealer was trying to sell me on a third party warranty with the same plan for $1375. This is my first new vehicle purchase (I’ve leased a lot) and was on the fence about the added cost of an extended warranty, but $800 for a FCA backed plan on a $65k vehicle seems like a reasonable cost for peace of mind.

Not sure about FCA but with our past Audi, you had to purchase the Audi extended warranty while you had at least a year and 12k miles (I think) left on the mfr warranty. Audi was 4 year / 50k miles for the original bumper to bumper, so a bit longer. With FCA you may be able to get it with one day left in the 3/36, not sure, but by then you'll know if you want to keep it longer.
what is FCA?

I am pleasantly surprised by some of the prices I see in this thread. We just took delivery of a 2022 GCL SR, and the finance manager was reluctant to even quote us a factory-backed Jeep warranty. Finally told us 4600 for the 7yr/unlimited miles. I guess he hit us high just to push his 3rd party warranty.

So whats the promo code yall are talking about? My wife drives 20k+ a year so this 7yr/unlimited sounds pretty attractive
