Estimated Ship Date or Estimated Build Date?

I’ve blocked out my info and my dealers info for privacy reasons. So my estimated ship date is 5/4/21. I was under the impression that’s the date it will ship out. My dad (who is my dealer) says it is the date they start building. Wondering everyone’s thoughts and if anybody knows the correct answer. Thanks!

Congrats! Word on the street is that shipments will begin shortly, maybe even next week.

It's really hard to pin when your vehicle will ship - the build sequencing at the plant has only integrated dealer orders recently. So the initial batch that are shipped are straight stock/not dealer orders. It may some additional time to fulfill dealer orders.

Awesome thanks! My husband is a service advisor so he can look up info for me and told me the build date was 4/29. Good to know it is progressing. Antsy to have it here!

I ordered my white summit on 03/06 with no progress so far. My husband (who is also a manager at a dealership) looks for me and I have been in D status for over 3 weeks. Messaged Jeep the other day and they are asking the “factory resources” because it should have moved status by now.
It has given me a ship date of may 8th which will not happen based on the lack of progress.
I’m antsy too!

My dad checked for me today and it has moved to I - unit is pending final inspection. He talked to some guy at Jeep and he said it should be here by the end of the month. My husband who is an assistant service manager also looked on his service portal and it was built 4/29. I am counting down the days lol. Hopefully yours progresses!!

I just received confirmation from my dealer that my Summit Reserve order has a ship date of today and they expect to receive it at the dealer in 2-3 weeks. I ordered the first week ordering was allowed earlier this year.

Dealer placed and order for their inventory on 5/6. It happened to be exactly what we wanted so I put a deposit down. Dealer told me 6-8 weeks. Spoke to Jeep through the chat and gave them the VON and they where able to give me the VIN. Let's see if takes the 6-8 or longer. Wife car goes back on lease in august so hopefully by then
