Droning Noise

I have a droning noise at about 1700 RPMs at any speed In my 2021 L Limited.
Been to dealer twice and he says it’s a vibration in trailer hitch, which is absolutely not true Since it occurred before hitch installation. He he said he hasn’t seen any complaints to JEEP, but I have seen a number of people mention this issue. Does anyone else have this problem, and have any people had it resolved through JEEP?
Thanks!

From reading here and FB groups, it is either an issue with the Noise cancellation module which you can verify by placing a piece of tape over the microphones in the ceiling above the 3rd row and/or the middle row as well. Or it could be from the heat shield below the car in the rear.

Yes, I have this exact problem. It’s humming coming from the engine at 1700 rpm. So annoying going 55 mph. I hate my dealer. Lazy. Say they can’t hear it. Coming from the engine bay no question.

Is there an answer to this yet? My 2023 GCL SR Hemi has the same droning at 1700 RPM. It only has 200 miles on it.

I don’t think so but I don’t really know when that activates. I have really not driven the car much on the freeway yet while breaking it in. It comes on at any speed at roughly 1700 RPM but am still getting used to the car.

It is not MDS since I can get the droning noise when parked by simply raising the RPM to 1700.

I had this for the first time at about 17k miles. Definitely seemed to be the noise cancellation or something electronic. It would go away immediately if I opened a window and then come back when I closed it. Parked the Jeep and next time I drove it it was gone anod hasn’t come back.

I have the droning noise at speeds between 60 and 75 mph when accelerating, as soon as I let off the gas pedal it stops but starts right back up when I accelerate.

try taking a piece of tape and covering the rear microphone above the rear seats. That took care of mine. No more awful sound.
