Dealers Can Order Three Models Of The New 2022 Jeep® Grand Cherokee WL74!

4xe Is One Of Them, With One Big Surprise...

Coming off the highly successful launch of the all-new 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee L (WL75), the Jeep brand is amping up for its launch of the direct replacement for the Grand Cherokee (WK2) with its all-new two-row 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL74). Both the WL74 and WL75, make up a new trio of SUVs from the American adventure brand which will also include the new electrified Grand Cherokee 4xe. So with three new model variants of the most-awarded SUV nameplate ever, there is a lot of pressure on Jeep to deliver the best iteration yet going into the 2022 model year.

Looks like no McIntosh audio from the pic. The 4xe drivetrain is intriguing to me though and the $7500 tax credit is a HUGE plus.

Disappointing. No off-road capability. Guess I’ll be driving my trail rated 2015 WK2 well into 2022.
Off-road capable is in the eye of the beholder lol I drove my JK with open diffs at Rausch and AOAA and the BLD was SUPER impressive. I think Jeep knows that most owners won't go off-road and is making as many widely appealing versions as possible.

Any update on the 2022 WL74? Are people in fact able to order? I called a few dealerships and they have said they could not order yet. Any idea on price? I am interested in either the Limited or the Summit Reserve 4xe. Any information is appreciated. I was in an accident on July 4th and my 2014 JGC was totalled so I have been without a real car for all this time and don't want to buy a WK with the new ones coming out.
Thank you.

All dealers should be able to order some trim levels of the wl74. I ordered one, but I don’t not think the 4xE is available quite yet.

Anyone have any idea when pricing is going to come out? Trying to decide whether to order a Limited or the Summit Reserve 4xe. Obviously there will be a cost difference and I would prefer the 4xe if it is affordable.
Thank you for any information if anyone has any.

Likely can benefit from a substantial tax credit on the 4xe, depending on your circumstances. I called a dealer and they mentioned they couldn't yet put in order for 4xe.

I’ve heard the 4xe will be priced similar to the wranglers meaning $7500 more so the credit is a wash

I have 2022 WL74 Summit Reserve / Hemi on order. No pricing yet, not build date, but have a VIN. However, I just heard about the Quadra-Lift delete on the 2021 L models. No sure if this will impact the 2022, but I suspect it will. May cancel the order if this is true. Maybe have to wait for it to be added back. I think I would always look at the console at the missing switch and think about what I am missing. Does anyone have any comparison of the ride and handling differences on the L model with and without?

Same here, my current 18 high altitude has QL and don’t want my new one without it. I hope that they have it for 22…

Have you guys talked to your dealers about Quadra Lift? My dealer called his rep who told him that the '22 Summit Reserve I ordered would come with Quadra Lift. I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten any different information.

The Overland, Summit & Summit Reserve are being built with the Quadra Lift as well, the Tow Package is now standard on the Summit’s for ‘22. I specifically asked about both for my order and it was confirmed!

My dealer said the same, but with reports of it being removed for '21 L's and buyers given a $750 credit, I'm going to feel a lot more comfortable when I see the build sheet and I see the air suspension listed rather than the air delete and credit listed.

Regarding the WL75:
They are definitely having issues with parts just like any other manufacturer.
However, the QL delete has proven to be more about the profitability than availability.
They never deleted the QL in MY2021 with the SR package or V8.
Now the QL is back on all Overland/Summit including V6 , mainly because the MY2022 has about $2K more in Price.
Look at it from another perspective, you can go today and order a V6 2021 that will require the QL delete, but can order the 2022 with the QL as standard. what's the difference??$
If this was really JUST a supply chain issue, the 2022 V6 would still carry the delete.
