In February, we released details thanks to our dealer sources that the Jeep® brand had opened up ordering on selected packages of its highly-anticipated three-row 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. At the time, ordering was only available for dealers for select pre-configured packages for Limited and Summit models. Then Overland models became available for ordering. Now, our dealer sources are telling us that Jeep has now opened ordering for the entry-level Laredo and sporty Altitude models as well.

Yesterday I was told still only 4 colors, but was able to add a Hemi to previous allocated order. At this point I have my choice of silver V6 with black interior or black Hemi with Tupelo (brown) interior. (Both fully loaded Summit) I guess order is still early enough in schedule to add the V8.

Did your existing order have a VIN yet?

Neither car has a solid available date or not even a VIN yet. Both were ordered February 20.
did you put money down? I did, and I have a vin for my order from April 13.
According to my dealer, Jeep wouldnt accept the order unless they offered proof of down payment. they have a check for $2k from me.

Do you know if the engine is standard hemi or the eTorque hemi? I saw a view of the 5.7L Hemi in a walk around video of a JGC L Summit at the Tulsa auto show and I did not see a belt driven generator in front of the engine so I think it was the standard hemi, which I want. I do not want a liquid cooled 48-volt battery pack inside my Jeep.

If a vehicle has not been scheduled for production, changes to the order are allowed, but no change can be made once scheduled for production.
