They’re are only 5 colors currently being offered for the L at launch. Diamond Black, Baltic Gray, Silver Zynith, Velvet Red and Bright White. Found a few pages that show a lot more colors. I wonder if these are going to be all of them. One of them has an interesting name, Boysenberry. Someone over at Jeep has a thing for berries as the Wrangler is offered in Snazzberry.

I also saw one that was Transmission Heater (a dark blue) on the website builder for a brief time. Now I cant find it. They seem to be dropping stuff onto the website and then pulling it back either because it isnt available yet and was a mistake to post it or the option is being held back for later.
Either way, I thought I wanted Baltic Gray but now I sort of want that dark blue color. Anyone else see that blue disappear?

Yeah the dark blue color was there for about a week. I think it was a mistake since that dark blue is a grand wagoneer exclusive.
It did look amazing on GCL lol I hope one of you guys placed an order while it was available and actually get a GCL in that color.

Even though Transmission Heater was on the webpage, such couldn’t be ordered through dealers. I tried and was told only 4 colors were available. The Velvet Red was also not available.

if you want to see what the colors really look like go to the 2022 Wagoneer build site. they are using same colors. You can see that the Baltic gray is gray with no green tint that it looks like on the GCL build site.
I ordered my Limited in velvet red .
Like most people on this forum took a leap of faith by ordering without seeing or test drive.

I am sure the Grand Cherokee L will stick to the five colors currently for the rest of the model year. But for 2022, there are quite a few colors for the WLs...

  • Baltic Grey Metallic
  • Granite Crystal Metallic
  • Blue Shade Pearl
  • Midnight Sky Pearl
  • Ceramic Gray
  • Rocky Mountain Pearl
  • Bloodshot
  • Ember Pearl
  • Sangria Pearl
  • Redline Pearl
  • Velvet Red Pearl
  • Billet Silver Metallic
  • Atomic Silver Metallic
  • Walnut Brown Metallic
  • Copper Shino Metallic
  • Bright White
  • Ivory Pearl Tricoat
  • Diamond Black Pearl
  • Olive Green

But is it 2021 or 2022 for the GCL?
I know the webpage says 2021 but so many of the new videos and pictures in the last few days refer to the L as 2022.

Some folks are probably confusing the Grand Cherokee L with the upcoming 2022 Grand Cherokee two row.
You are probably right, this is likely the reason. But is kind of mediocre job if you are invited as a car expert to an event that has to mention somwhere is about the “2021 GCL” and you still call it the 2022.

would that include availability for a 2022 WL74?

the tenth digit in the vin is year. M is what shows up on all of the availability lists, works out to 2021.

I am so torn between the white and the black. I've always had black SUVs, now I saw the white today, and I just don't know which one to order.

How did you confirm this and will it be for the two a three row?

Jeep website has now one of these colors from the list on the Build tool, the Rocky Mountain Pearl.
Won't be surprised many others to start popping up in the tool soon, hopefully these will be available when MY22 ordering opens
