Cargo Compartment Cover Coverage

I am considering ordering the Mopar Cargo Compartment Cover (6XR69TX7AA). Can anyone tell me whether this fits behind the second or third row? I have my third row down and I'm hoping this fits behind the second row and covers the whole 3rd row and cargo area.

The Jeep didn't come with one? It's something I always take out, but they do usually come with. Maybe it only comes with certain trims?

To answer your question, I don't know, but the Mopar diagram implies it covers the whole 3rd row area, but I guess the litmus test would be to look in your compartment and see where the mounts are for it.

I got the WeatherTech liner. Goes behind the 2nd row seat and will fold up if you need to use the 3rd row seat. Love it and made in the USA.
I'm pretty sure the part he's referencing is the spring loaded "roll up" cargo cover that hides what's in your cargo area...

The best thing I found was a company called 'canvasback'. I ordered a set in black with custom white contrast stitching (to match my OEM Overland theme) along with side panels to protect the sides. Because they attach to the second and third row seatbacks, you can still put the seats up and down at will and have protection on everything. I'll still use my third row Jeep rubber matt in the back for snowy ski boots.

Mine just shipped so I don't have them yet, but others have posted about them and love them. I have the Jeep cargo matt now, which only covers behind the third row. Weathertech makes one that goes to the second row, but then you've got this massive peice of plastic to contend with when you want to use the third row seats.

I'd say the larger Weathertech one is only 'better' than the Canvasback solution if you (1) never put the third row up, (2) haul lots of wet gear, and (3) don't need protection on the sides or the second row seatback.

Canvasback also makes a 'connector' piece that puts up a barrier between the second row captain's chairs if you want that. Seems like an ideal solution overall, and very customizable for colors and configuration. Small mom and pop company making high quality stuff, from what I understand.

The build sheet for the Summit Reserve has a "Reversible Carpet/Vinyl Cargo Mat." I didn't realize this was reversible when I looked at one on the lot, but if someone has an SR with this installed would be interesting to see some photos.

You have good taste!
Mine just shipped today as well.
FYI, no matter how much prep they asked me to do, I could never get those side pannels to stick to the plastic in my 2020 Expedition. They would stick for a few days and then come loose again.

Interesting. They're held on with velcro? Normally some acetone will do the trick, or if they're into the carpet areas (as it appears on the GCL), you can put really small black wood screws into the plastic, through the velcro backing. If you're screwing it into the carpeted area you'll never see the screw holes. Or small rivets would work.

I tired acetone, mineral spirits, alcohol, super glue(which left a stain that I could not remove) and a heat gun. They sent me new velcro because they felt they had a bad batch etc... and nothing ever worked. However the plastic in the Jeep seems to be a bit softer than the Expedition so who knows, it might work better. My only regret is not getting my money back on the side pannels.
Let me know how you make out with installing them.

Sounds like weird plastic. I have a big roll of strong backed velcro I use on all manner of things (hardware store/Amazon stuff) and I've only found a few things it wouldn't stick to strongly, but I can see certain automotive plastics being in that category. Especially if the plastic grain is deep enough to prevent adhesion on the entire surface area. At that point, you have to start making marks on the things you're trying to protect. Worst case, I'll use rivets or screws and fill them in with small plastic push pins later if for some reason I want to remove them.

Does anyone know the closest color match would be for the canvasback accent stitching to match the the factory stitching of the black parts in the tupelo/black interior? I can't remember or tell from photos if the stitching color on the black parts is the same in the tupelo parts, and even harder to say which color is closer - the "rust" or the "tan."

Me neither. Here you go.

Yeah I meant the spring loaded thing that hides what's in back. I checked out the mounting instructions and the slots are behind the second row so this will cover stuff stowed on top of a folded third row. I ordered one on eBay will let you know how it works.
