Can anyone tell me how to turn off the automatic door locks?

I've only seen the 'unlock on exit' function in the system settings menu.

I live in an extremely safe, rural area, and have ZERO need for this auto lock function. I do photo/video work, and am frequently moving around short distances and getting in and out of different doors, so this is as annoying as the loud horn blasts when I get in and out with the engine running.

Any ideas?

It looks like something the dealer has to disable per the manual. That’s odd. It should be an option within the Uconnect system

There is no option as of today to disable the 3x honks when the engine is running.
I know. I swear when I get my replacement the first thing I'm going to do is disconnect the horn and wire a separate button on the dash to honk it when I actually need a horn. It's absolutely infuriating in so many circumstances. They need a secondary 'chirp'. I hate the delay on the horn when you honk it, too. It makes it impossible to make a polite tap, because the steering wheel has to send a signal through the processor, and there's like a a half second lag before it makes any noise, making it impossible to modulate (I think all Stellantis products are the same way in that regard). It's really frustrating how many simple things (like the horribly inaccurate fuel gauge) have been around for eons, and they've found ways to make it all worse. So much facepalm.

When I push on the horn and just want a light 'beep', it does nothing. When I push it fully, there's a delay between the pressing of the center of the wheel and the horn making noise. My friend's Ram 1500, which is several years old, does the same thing. It's as if a Commodore 6400 is processing the signal, and then telling the electrics to honk the horn a half second later.

It states in the user's manual that you need to have the dealer turn them off. I tried that. They couldn't turn them off. Software issue, reported to corporate. Maybe the big update this Fall will fix it.

If you sell it, it magically makes all glitches and headaches go away. Just saying. When the recession hits, nobody will be a able to afford that boat anchor.

The recession is here. Two years and it’s probably over. The main question is how big the dip will be. In that time, hopefully supply chain issues will be sorted out (in a period of reduced SC stress.

Will Jeep sort out the QC issues during that period? Will the new I6TT prove reliable? Unknowable.
