That's awesome! Do you know if your vehicle will have the rear seat entertainment/Amazon Fire TVs.
I don't know. It wasn't an option to add when we ordered, however it's not something we would have paid extra for. In looking through everything I can't figure that part out. Here is a list of the Standard Entertainment Features of the 2022 GCL Summit Reserve from the website where it shows the "Front Passenger Interactive Display" but doesn't metioned screens for 2nd row and it's still not listed as an add-on option, so who knows

I Ordered a two-tone Bright White 2022 GCL Summit Reserve (25U) with the V8, Luxury Tech Group V, Adv ProTech Group IV, and Bright Side Steps on 11/6.
11/10 had a VIN and Status was "D-Firm schedule serial number is assigned"
11/15 Jeep Chat said "Your vehicle is in scheduling with parts being gathered. No Dealer ETA yet"
11/20 Jeep Chat said "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. No Dealer ETA yet."
That’s great news! I ordered the identical vehicle, except for the Bright Side Steps. I was told that those weren’t available yet. My order went in on October 8th and I spoke with Jeep Chat yesterday, Nov 19th and I was told that they are still waiting on parts before a build date will be established. Maybe that changed overnight. Please keep us posted.

unfortunately you cant fully trust what the website says for included features.
Your dealer can give you what's included in your order as standard features and on any package you ordered. Its a printout of 8-10 pages of all the codes and items.

I exchanged emails with a high volume dealer who said he has placed orders for 16 WL74s, but none have moved to production. Has it been confirmed that these models are moving down the line yet?

Don’t think so. If you do a national search you can see a (very) few dealers with limiteds on their website but no pics or delivery dates. Don’t see any summits on any dealer sites so I think we are at least a few weeks away from any getting built, but who knows.

I have my VIN for my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with Lux package. Not sure when it will be made. VIN I waited a week to get that. Hopefully will not be long. Otherwise I might have to settle for something else on the lot. Thnaks @JeepCares and my local dealership.

How did you get this information? What is Jeep Chat and how do I connect to that chat? Thanks.

A few days after placing my order I asked to receive my (POC) Purchase Order Confirmation sheet showing all options with price and that shows the VON (Vehicle Order Number). They provided me with a the updated POC that had the VON and VIN number of the vehicle. I then go to this site: https://fcacommunity.force.com/Jeep/s/knowledge and click on Chat. There you can ask for an update on your build status. They will want the VIN, VON, and your name, address, and email. They then tell you the status of your build. Supposedly your dealership should be able to tell you the status as well, but I don't have full confidence in my dealership as they told me nothing has changed, eventhough Jeep Chat has changed from "parts being gathered" to all materials received and ready for build.

Did you receive confirmation of the Bright Side Steps? As I mentioned in another post, I tried to add those to my order however I was told that they weren’t available yet for the WL74 JGC Summit Reserve. They’ve also been removed as an option from the Jeep Build & Price page. Back in October, the Side Steps were there, but not anymore.

Dealers can access the pre-build and build process the same as Jeep Chat but some don't make the effort. Once it is built and "ready" for shipping the dealer has access to a system that gives real time data on the location of the vehicle, Jeep Chat usually doesn't. Normal process if there is a part shortage that can be added post-build they can build the vehicle then send it to storage to wait. If they are actually building them now, this time of year can be a problem because railroads are prioritizing harvest shipments and supply chain backlogs. Same for truckers.

When I ordered my 2022 GCL SR V8 (so a WL75, not WL74) on 11/6 The Bright Side Steps were an option and are on my POC with a VIN number, so I'm assuming I'll be getting them. It's a wait an see game now :)

Thanks for the clarification. That make a lot more sense now. I was under the impression that you ordered a WL74 but that wasn’t the case. I believe that the steps are available for the WL75, but apparently aren’t available for the WL74 yet. I have a WL74 Summit Reserve with the V8 on order.

Ordered a 4x4 Limited on Monday. VIN is assigned. Today I asked Jeep chat if the WL74s are in production and if any have been delivered. Their response:

We anticipate to see these vehicles on dealer lots in fourth quarter of 2021 but Stellantis/ Jeep has not announced a date yet. We have not started production.
Generally the build time for specially ordered vehicle is approximately 7 - 9 weeks from order to delivery. This timing is projected/estimated however and could be subject to change. Because the building has not start as of yet for the 2022 models it may take a bit longer.

Just a small update received vin and allocation on 10/27. And now we wait, my doubts are high that I’ll see her before Christmas and my bet would be that’ll she’ll hopefully arrive before February of 2022. Will update as I can

Spoke with Jeep Chat today (12/1/2021) and got this:

"Thank you for your patience, I can see all the required materials for your JEEP have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build anytime now! I'm sure you can't wait for this to be completed!"

Ordered a GC SR V8 on 10/23/2021
VIN was received on 10/27/2021

I ordered mine (GC SR V8) on 10/18 and I talked to jeep chat yesterday and they said I'm still in the "gathering parts" stage.

I also ordered the GC SR V8, on 10/8. I spoke with Jeep chat yesterday also and was told the same, that they’re still gathering parts. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of consistency or transparency in what Jeep chat is telling us. It would be nice to know what their plans are to fill these orders.
