Any aftermarket exhaust available for the WL yet?

I would love to have an aftermarket cat-back exhaust for the 5.7 Hemi - something that would be controllable so when I wanted a bit of rumble, I could have it, but more "stock" quiet so as not to have to listen to droning on and on....
I've done some searches, but haven't found anything - may be too soon, but thought I'd ask...

I recently road in a Wrangler Rubicon 392. The exhaust option is great. Even in the more aggressive mode, it really wasn't too loud. That would be a nice option, but it will have to come from the aftermarket for the Grand Cherokee.

Just go with cut outs.😁

Still been searching for an actuated aftermarket exhaust for the WL V8 with no luck.
Anyone seen or heard of anything for the WL? Would like to push a button and hear the rumble of the V8 and then go back to a civilized sound....

No doubt it will sound like a TRX....all the time. I'm looking for a system I can control so I can be quiet and civilized most of the time while not dealing with constant drone, and yet flip a switch and enjoy the V8 sound.

This is the only video I've found so far.

Pretty "meh" and definitely not the sound I'm looking for. Looks like a custom job. Interesting to note Corsa and borla also have universal mufflers you can buy. My thought there would be drone from the exhaust since it's not custom to the jeeps setup.

I've been in contact with Corsa performance and they say they are working on something, but nothing available yet. That was a few months ago and they've not updated me since.

I was considering switchable exhaust cutouts but I'm concerned about how that could impact the resale value.

Cliff notes: No great options yet. If someone hears different please post!

Thanks Trailrated for the video and info.
I too have been considering doing some electric cutouts. Perhaps something after the resonator, but before the muffler? I need to spend some time under the WL to see what might be possible.
I thought the video of the magnaflow didn't sound too bad. Wouldn't want that all the time, but start up sounded nice without being too obnoxious.

I might also reach out to Corsa - hopefully if they get others to inquire they may speed up the development.

So as an update here, I ordered the AFE exhaust and it arrived yesterday. Getting installed Monday morning. I have a video of the car from the inside with the intake installed, so I'll do a before and after for everyone once the exhaust is put on. The instagram post ( AFE Instagram Post ) with the exhaust sound is pretty solid, so I'm excited to hear it.
The exhaust looks to be pretty well constructed, though I will say I'm more than a little annoyed with AFE for a few reasons:

1st. I ordered the exhaust and then received an email that it was out of stock. Which is exactly what they did when I ordered the intake. I wrote them an email calling that out and they called me the next day to say " we pulled some strings and we're having it made for you" Which translates to, "we used your money to have it made so we don't have to carry stock" - Not cool. Nowhere on the website did it say the exhaust was out of stock or needed to be made. Again, the same thing with the intake. Seems like they are using customer orders to front R&D and manufacturing costs.
2nd. I ordered the exhaust 2 weeks ago for 1300 and they've already dropped the price to 1068 on the website. I almost pulled the trigger at 1,600. I wonder why it's coming down in price so quickly. Generally, they make pretty solid quality products.

I have a video of the car from the inside with the intake installed, so I'll do a before and after for everyone.

Trailrated, do you have it installed? Any videos?

Jake22, why a waste? Would t expect it to create any real hp gains but hoping it sounds good. Stock exhaust is way too quiet.

So I wanted to wait a week to let the whole thing break in. Here's a link to the album on Google at the bottom .First 2 videos are with just the intake 1st one is windows up, second windows down.

The 2 night videos are the same with the exhaust installed ( same stretch of road ) and the 3rd is a highway pull.

I will say the first few days I was not a fan at all. Apparently the baffles needed to break in ( according to multiple mechanics ) and it had a very metallic sound when I got on it. Now, after a couple days, it's much deeper and I really like it. No droning at all. My favorite part is the upshift sound at full throttle, sounds great! Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.

The mechanic that installed it told me it was extremely well made and he was impressed with the build quality. He works on performance cars exclusively so I was happy to hear his feedback. Second mechanic said virtually the same thing.

Let me know if anyone has questions. Overall, I'd give this an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Hey Nick, do yourself a favor and block Jake22. I did it a while ago and can't even see his posts anymore.

In fact, I'd recommend it to everyone. That pork chop is just a old ninny who has nothing better to do than troll people.

Trailrated,

thanks for the videos! The intake alone sound good while the system sounds great. Was that recored after you let it break in a bit? Seems the exhaust provides the ”hemi farts” that my Durango R/T had when shifting. Miss that!

Without a baseline it is hard to tell how much the intake made a sound difference. Did the intake make an appreciable audible difference? Sounds like it did but not sure.

thanks again!

I just added another video I took when my 2021 was totally stock. Its short and not that great, but you can tell the difference with and without the intake. The intake really sounds better at higher rpm and under load.

I also noticed a significant power increase with the intake, while the exhaust made very little (if any) difference. AFE claims like a 20hp increase on the intake, which I don't disagree with. You can actually feel the difference.
They don't claim any hp increase with the exhaust, which I also don't disagree with 😀. But the sound improvements definitely worth it.
