I had the "Service Air Suspension" and "Service Active Dampening System" warning light come on over the winter during some extreme cold. I figured it was weather-related, but unfortunately, it never went off. The system seems to be working perfectly, but I can't get the warning light off, some things I've tried:
-disconnecting the battery
-used a cheap code reader to diagnose, no warning messages returned
-checking fuses and found the following was bad in the interior fuse box :
33 Fuse MICRO
Transfer case SW / Humidity Rain Light Sensor (HRLS) / Suspensión SW*
I replaced the fuse, and the light stayed on.
I brought it to the dealer (it's out of warranty), and they quoted me $1800 and said the fix was a front shock assembly and jumper harness. The car is running normally, and I haven't noticed any issues with the suspension. It lowers at highway speed and raises and lowers like normal when I test it in my driveway. I'm suspicious of the fix because of the normal driveability and the fact that the light came on with it was extremely cold one morning.
I have an appointment at a local service center (non-dealer with a good reputation) to get a second opinion.
Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
