5.7L V8 ECO OFF Button

Does the GCL 5.7L V8 models include an ECO OFF button? On the WK2 it is located in center console with the sport mode and driver assist buttons. When pressed it disables the cylinder deactivation so it's always running 8 cylinder instead of 4.

Dont have the GCL yet, but our RAM has 5.7L with ECO. If you drive fast enough on the highway ECO never turns on :)

Do you realize when it turns off 4 cylinders?
Yes the vehicle vibrates and feels rough when using eco mode unless cruising at highway speed. Eco mode also adjust shift points to reduce fuel consumption which leads to more sluggish performance. I notice massive differences in vehicle handling and dynamics between eco on, off, and sport mode in my WK2. I drive with Eco Off unless I have ACC engaged while driving on the freeway/interstate or if I have a lot of items in my trunk and want reduce the torque to help prevent accidental shifting of items when accelerating.

Also the cylinder deactivation causes additional wear on the engine and is well documented cause of problems with other manufacturers. Honda specifically. I know that the implementation with FCA is better vs Honda but it's not worth miniscule MPG increase for the risk of long term damage and performance reduction for day to day driving. MPG is literally 0 concern for me I get fuel for free.

Thanks for the detailed response. Good to understand how the system feels.
