From the archives! 👆

Yes, I firmly acknowledge I am an archive. I got out of FCA before the Stellantis stuff. I assume you are Canadian? My only direct involvement with Chrysler Canada was going over to Windsor Assembly once for a meeting with their IT people. They even sort of spoke English . :) We had many in IT who lived in Canada but worked in the USA. They got paid in US dollars which really was great for them. They mostly all were from Windsor.

If that is where you actually live, you are a lucky man and I mean it. You said "WAP" , Windsor Assembly Plant , correct? We had acronyms for all the plants. SHAP, JNAP, etc.

Ok, didn't know you were able to see dealer site. I wish the public facing site could stay current with that so I wouldn't have to call a dealer periodically to find out the ever changing option status. While you've shown how the dealer site, (at least for Canada), allows the 19 speaker option for the Overland 4xe, it's still not an option on the consumer site. Though I'm signed up for various notifications, I imagine I'll get the most current news from this forum, especially thanks to the former employees who still have order access. I actually worked for Chrysler in Highland Park for 14 years, but that was 30 years ago, so I'm not an official retiree. (It only allows me a friends and family code from some of my former co-workers who are still there).

Good to know. I hadn't heard of that before. Hopefully I can find the configuration I'm looking for soon so I can check with them before they retire. (Maybe I'll have to skip the Off Road eLSD, but am still hoping for non-black interior, McIntosh audio, and preferably 18" wheels). Thanks,

I've been to every plant. Nice to be far away from it all!
But an as archive, are you old enough to have ever been to the Newark DE plant? I spent like 3 months living there installing a new computer system Chrysler rented us apartments. This plant is long gone as is the St. Louis plant where I also spent many weeks. Your house is absolutely stunning, BTW. Belvidere is still with us and I spent many weeks there as well.

Since I do have a snazy house like Jake22 and live in a suburb north of Detroit, I post these images of being up in Michigan's UP where my brother owns a place. Yes it's only a 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk but all I could get this year. This is an area called the Kingston Plains. This was only a few weeks ago.

Newark, Toledo, Belvidere, St. Louis, Brampton, Toluca & Saltillo.
My retirement present at the WAP main gate on my last day.

Right, retirement present. :) When I retired, they said I could keep my laptop bag, they only wanted the laptop back. Signed an agreement that I would not work in IT for a competitor for a few years and I was out. There was lots of IT people who switched between Ford, GM amd Chrysler back in the day. We picked up many GM people when EDS took over IT at GM.

Well I never got to Toluca or Saltillo but I spent 3 weeks in Mexico City at the Lago Alberto facility. Then a real classic, Chrysler Dodge Main in Hamtramck. What a piece of work that place was. There were fire call boxes around the place that still said "Dodge Brothers" on them. Also spent some time at Dodge Truck on Mound road. Worked at both Highland Park and then at the tech center in Auburn Hills, watched them build it from the Featherstone Road Engineering Center where they put the IT people for a few years before the main building was ready. The tech center is largely vacant these days, it is a massive facility and quite impressive inside. Have you ever visited it? I was in the 2nd floor east wing.

many times, also Chelsea & Arizona proving grounds + ARDC Windsor
I had an opportunity to go to Chelsea to service some firewalls we had there but I declined and a team member went instead. My group managed all the network security to all Chrysler sites, even Venezuela where we had equipment but no one would ever go there. We had firewalls at every Chrysler plant and parts depot (loved the Red Deer site name in CA). Would have loved to have gone to the Arizona site. We had firewalls in some Daimler sites in NC, I think but we never went there. Most of us disliked all the Daimler people, the FIAT people were way nicer. The Germans were like "You do it like we want else you are out" they forced us to change our whole network addressing scheme ( a massive amount of work) and when FIAT came, we had to change again as Daimler owned the IP addresses. I met Sergio Marchionne once, shook his hand, that's all. Those were the days.

I thought I was clear on that. This is the 4xe. RDH is the standard radio on the Overland so not an option.
The public site still doesn't show an RDH, (McIntosh), option for the '23 4xe Overland. Also, does anyone know if or when any interior color other than, (scorching hot in the summer), global black will be available?

You are not getting me here. RDH will NOT show as an option because it's not an option, it is standard equipment on the Overland. You can't order it as an option as it is already there by default.

While I see that Jake22 showed a screen shot of a '23 4xe Overland with RHD as standard on the Canadian site, that doesn't appear on the US site, and dealers have told me they can't order it on the '23 Overland 4xe. Do you see any US screens that either list it as standard, or an option on the 4xe? It is available, not standard, but as an option on '23 Overland ICE. This is the listing for standard audio for the '23 Overland 4xe on the jeep.com site:

I believe that Chry3d is correct and the website is wrong. On another forum, a user’s dealer confirmed to him that the McIntosh Audio is standard on the 2023 Overland.

( I don‘t think any non-review 2023 4xes have shipped quite yet—though they’re expected to start in the first half of this month—but the 2022 Overland 4xe does have McIntosh audio, as seen in this video:
All but the very earliest 2022 4xes have been built with “2023 model year specs” listed on the build sheet, making this video as close to actual evidence as I think you’re going to get at this moment.)
