I ordered this on October 12, 2021. It came in Monday and I took delivery last night. They did a great job on the redesign both inside and out! It has the V8 HEMI which the dealer told me helped expedite the order. They said it is the first one in the Coastal Virginia area. Please let me know if you have any questions.

It is very nice! The ride is very comfortable and has great acceleration with the V8! It is also packed with features. The massaging seats, night vision and stereo are a few of my favorites.

You think those are your favorite features? They are some of the features that are making me seriously consider the JGC vs some of the competition. But I wasn't sure if the night vision or massaging seats were just a gimmick.

I use the massage seats in my Audi all the time. Every time my wife gets in, she turns her side on. Was glad to see the Summit Reserve had massage seats. Hoping they are a little stronger than my Audi's.

On night vision, in my Audi, in addition to the little screen in the instrument cluster, if it spots a person or animal it thinks will enter your path, it beeps and throws an icon up on the heads up display. Assuming the GC does something similar, it's pretty nice in places with a lot of deer.

Yes, it is packed with features. It is not as fun to drive as my last SUV, Porsche Macan S, but it is luxurious and the features/look is what attracted me to the new Grand Cherokee.

Niiice, Same I want but waiting for rear display option, how long it takes since you order?
It was about 3 months. Ordered October 12 and it came in Monday January 10th. Most of the wait was that production didn’t start until December. Yes, I wanted the rear screens too. That was an option on the online build, but went away after the first few weeks. The autonomous drive feature was not clear either. It has adaptive cruise and lane centering that works very well, but it doesn't drive you from point A to point B. There is mention of that coming later in 22 and it sure if the current system will support it with a software update or will require new hardware.

Is your vehicle equipped with the camera on the steering column?

What is that camera used for?
Hands free active driving assist, which will be added in 2022. If the car is equipped, when the software becomes available it could be used in existing vehicles. There is speculation the 4xe will have the camera, even if hands free is not immediately available.

The pending upgrade to Automatic Driving Assist—Hands-Free ADA—doesn’t drive you from point to point. The most significant improvements are—on approved roads only—it lets you do what your current ADA does without you having your hands on the wheel (using that camera to ensure your attentiveness), and it will also automatically change lanes when you signal it to.

That’s very cool. I currently lower my steering wheel a bit so my knees lightly touch it. It does a pretty good job driving on the interstate.

where have you seen this? Very excited about that possibility…Really want to order but holding off..
The logic I think he is referring to is my post on another thread here. Whereas I saw, in the interior renders of the Build and Price section of Jeep.com, this camera on the steering column on the 4xe Summits and SR's. Circling back though, I actually also see it on the 2022 short and long wheelbase normal Grand Cherokees. Knowing this guy above has a 2022 SR, when the build to price shows an imagine of an SR interior with the camera and his does not, I am now not very sure anymore. Perhaps, the only logic that is *might* mean something, is the 4xe's are still not due to deliver for awhile and could start shipping when the hands off camera ships.

Got it, thanks - that all makes sense. I think when the Build and Price tool first came online for 2022, it was showing the Hands Free ADA as an option on the Summit Reserve (but only on the gas versions and not the 4xe). From the dealers I’ve contacted, they aren’t seeings hands-free as an option on the 4xe so was hoping there was something I had missed :)
