2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Spotted With A Better Interior View

I bought this Jeep GCL summit with lots of expectations and believing what Jeep advertises on their website is true. (This is my first Jeep after 20 years of Honda/Toyota and will be the last). But the reality is completely different. Most of the features they advertise either doesn't work or works when it feels like. Is this what I should get after paying $65K? Even the technician at the dealership is frustrated.

Don't denigrate the entire Jeep line based on your getting a lemon. It happens and it is most unfortunate but most of the Jeep owners love their vehicles. I have purchased my 4th Jeep Grand Cherokee which I eagerly look forward to owning and driving. Yes there are birthing pains with a brand new model but it will work its way out. I am willing to be patient due to my experience with this brand over the years since 1995. I wish you luck getting the vehicle up to par or replacing via the lemon laws.

Happens, I can imagine it being frustrating, but that's simply the nature of buying a brand new model. Also, I've had more problems with my Honda/Acuras than any of my previous 2 Grand Cherokees, so it's hard to generalize. 🤷‍♂️

I understand your frustration, but like everyone said, you got a lemon.
I bought a WK2 in 2011 when they first came out, although everyone warned me. I kept till Jan 2019 when my ordered JL Sahara arrived. In the 120k miles I owned I had zero issues with it. When the WL came out, I had to trade in my Sahara and get it, again even though everybody warned me about buying it. So far, knock on wood, it's been a breeze (8200 miles in).
What you read on forums is the extreme. Either customers so happy with Jeep and came to talk about it, or people that got the lemons and are here to vent and complain about that. It is definitely not representative of the market. Jeep has sold thousands of those WLs, and the majority is just fine, otherwise you'd see them lined up at service departments...

On a side not, when I bought my WK2, a frtiend of mine opted for a Range Rover, it was at least 50% more expensive than my Jeep. He sold it in less than 2 years of ownership because of how many issues it had. Things happen...

Maybe the issue is that after 20 years of Honda/Toyota you aren't used to having a car with features...

LSU- same boat as you. Had a WK2 in 2011 and bought my second in 2014. All issues were warranty/recalls (and most struck me as 'less than critical'). Had one issue where a car wash person pushed the push button start through the dashboard, but other than that, no problems.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I understand the issues are related to new model. I am Ok for the less performing high tech features like, Uconnect, Android auto etc. The one really frustrates me is the seat memory recall. I have back pain issues and seat position is critical for me. Recall of saved memory profile is not a rocket science. But in my Jeep GCL, recall moves seat to random positions.
