2021 JGC service 4wd issues

Has anyone had this issue resolved? I just bought a new grand cherokee L limited and the light intermittently goes on/off. The dealership has had my brand new car for 3 weeks and it doesn't sound like they know how to fix it.

No, I have zero issues of multiple pages resolved. They are too busy fixing all the grand wagoneers rear axles and transfer cases along with hundreds of other issues. They get preferential treatment, we get 💩on. Your vehicle is sitting at the dealer for reasons other than being worked on. It is just sitting. The service 4 wd requires a reset from a scan tool.

The GCL and wagoneer platform require all new diagnostic equipment. Ask your dealer if they have the new witech system, make them show it to you. Mine didn’t have it in Nov 2021. Kind of hard to fix it when you don’t have the tools, know how, and anybody in Michigan working on it. I guarantee you all hands are on deck for wagoneer, few for GCL

The weird part is the light would come on but the 4wd system didn’t feel any different like it was on. The light would shut off when the car was turned off and restarted but would intermittently come back on. I think they’re supposedly trying a new transfer case but with only 800 miles that’s shocking that would/could be the problem.

Similar issue. 700 miles Service 4WD light on and Uconnect randomly going in/out. Sat at dealer for 3 days. Light has stayed off, Uconnect has went out four times in two weeks.

In the Offroad Screens, does it tell you anything about the 4x4 system when this happens? Might be worth a look.

Hope they found out something for you. Mine is in there again for that and Service active lane meme, static on dash screen and no XM.
They just gave me a loaner of another GCL and guess what came on the dash...
Now at 46 days in service for issues since end of July.

I think there's something rotten somewhere in the bus system that's at the root of all these things. There are so many random electrical-related gremlins it's hard to believe ALL these systems are defective on some of our cars, while other people have no problems, and we're all running the same software.

They put a new Uconnect 'computer' in mine a few weeks ago (after months of waiting and having no sound/phone/etc most of the time), and three weeks after the repair mine is starting the 'flashing screen' thing AGAIN. Between that and all the other random electrical gremlins, it's hard to think there isn't some singular root cause.

I have had service 4wd intermittently since I got the car. Just brought it in for service at 10k and they told me I need a transfer case.
