2021 GC L came to DEAD STOP

I’ve now had two hard braking events for no reason on my 21 GCL SR. The first time was a couple of months after I purchased it when I was going through a four-way intersection with no vehicles around. At around 10 mph in the center of the intersection the vehicle locked up its brakes and gave me quite the startle.
Today’s was pretty rough. I was going about 36 miles an hour up to a railroad crossing and just a few feet before the Crossing the vehicle started slowing down for a few feet and then locked up the brakes. It locked my seatbelt, and the noise you hear in the video is my dog flying out of their car seat and smashing into the dashboard. It was a scary little experience, and severely hurt my lower back. I’m not sure if this is as simple as a software update, but Jeep really needs to look in to why these things are happening.

Apparently it won’t let me post videos. Screenshot of the exact location it hard braked to a halt.

1. First found back in November 2021
2. Jeep accused me of driver error instead of even considering such a malfunction
3. Multiple people since have experienced it
4. No resolution or even acknowledgement

Sell it for another vehicle or become a statistic. You’ll thank me later.

Dealer replaced my radar unit and camera. No more breaking issues fyi. They had it for 32 days.

Sounds like your all fixed. Might want to figure out a way to prove it works without risking your life/vehicle.

Dealers have the ability flash software and enable/disable features. The radar is also used for advanced cruise control and cameras for parking/avoidance and self driving/auto steering. My self drive/auto steer was clearly messed up, vehicle hugged the center line. This is due to poor alignment/software.

Might want to prove the other stuff still works. A new camera might avoid auto braking but a poor camera alignment might mean the auto driving is messed up.
