“Service Transmission” message

I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee L Limited with 12,300 miles on it.

I’m getting a “Service Transmission” message that pops up for a few seconds and then goes away. I’ve gotten it 3 times so far, but can’t find any information about this message in the manual.

Has anyone else here gotten this message?

I was having some erratic shifting into 4th gear scenarios and the paddle shifters wouldn't cancel. I also had the Service Trans. message. I called to make an appointment yesterday and the said "middle of Sept." for something like that. Either they don't want to repair it or the heavy duty mechanic comes back from vacation then.

It’s likely both

Got my issue fixed. My right paddle shifters was busted. Randomly/intermittently, it wouldn’t gear up. It would switch to manual mode but pressing it further wouldn’t make the gear go up, and then I couldn’t get out of manual mode back to automatic, and that’s when the service transmission fired. But it would fire randomly too while on automatic. Maybe it was interfering or something.

Dealership replaced my right paddle shifter, and issue seems to have resolved
