This was not true for my GCL Summit Reserve. I was able to see my build sheet the day it went into build. I know this because I confirmed the status with my dealer.

I am pretty sure this is the air suspension activating. Next time you hear this noise, look at the wheels to see if the car is raising or lowering itself. Most likely its lowering itself to make it easier for you to get inside.
