Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

Wow. That's unfortunate, and I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this.

Interestingly enough, I've seen a few L's pop up on dealer websites that appear to include the Lux Group II package (for example). Given the price point, the list of features, and the fact that there is a VIN number, it seems that some Limited models with Lux II have been set aside for dealer allocations.
All the dealers around me still do not have any GCL listed on their site or inventory.

I went to true car like MiSoProh had said all the ones listed are pretty far from me. Stange thing also when you build the car on true cars site, the Lux Group II on the limited is listed but grayed out, you can't select it

I ordered a baltic gray L on 5/13/2021... just spoke to jeep chat.. today it has made its way finally to paint!
Was hoping to see a Baltic Gray GCL in the press reviews that were just released. But didn’t see any.

Have you seen the color in any reviews?

Dealer had ordered a Limited on 5/6 for inventory. I put a deposit on it 5/22. They updated the order to a customer order. As of Thursday still not scheduled. was told by dealer that it would be 6-8 weeks for it to come in.
Ordered mine June 4 Th .Have both vin and von numbers but as of today jeep has no record of it on their build site .How long does it normally take before it shows up.

Jeep customer service 877 426 5337 .After listening to menu you will talk to a rep who will see if your vin or vin number has been entered in their system. They are friendly enough and will tell you to check back in a couple of days if it is not entered yet.

thanks @Trich21. I called and mine was in the order system but not scheduled (another system). when I asked why some folks who ordered after me with the same specs are getting their D1 status faster, the rep said that it could likely be due to the destination regions that support the manufacturing of various parts having issues that other regions don’t (i.e. the southeast region may have a supplier backlog while a west coast region is churning em out). I’m in the southeastern region. Hope this helps others wondering why they don’t have a build date yet.

I was told ship date isn’t really the date it ships to the dealer. My ship date is 6/25 originally 5/5. It’s in storage, built, waiting for a chip.

Oh nvm. I thought you had a link to Jeep website somewhere to look up the status yourself. I have contacted Jeep myself and they give me the same answer "all the parts are ready to build your vehicle. Your car will be scheduled for production soon." Its been in D1 status for a month now.

Well, the automotive outlets published Grand Cherokee L impressions today, so it can't be too far off now. July 1st is my bet for Sales Go-Live. Puts additional revenue into the Q3 bucket.

I was in d1 for a month and it finally moved to being built. My estimated arrive at dealership is 7/2 which makes perfect sense for July 1 start to sell

Got a call from my dealer today. He told me that he just received notification that because of the large amount of jeeps that have been purchased they are having a hard time getting them delivered. He told me mine was in Toledo and that the letter stated that there was a potential that either the dealer or even myself could go up to Toledo and pick it up there.
He stressed that this idea, according to the info he received, was not solid but just a possibility being floated. He’s going to dig for more information and will hopefully have something more definitive shortly.

Curious to know—Has anyone received a similar communication from their dealer? I am in Ohio.

No web site link one of the earlier post said jeep had taken it down. Talked to them today got the same response you did at least it shows up now. I think from here on I will just check with the dealership every two weeks.

Checked in with the dealer AND jeep chat today. Both confirmed my order is in Build code F - Paint!!! Finally there is movement after 3-4 weeks of being stuck in D1 status! I placed my order on May 12th for a Summit Reserve in Red with V6 w/all packages.

Hopefully there are no quality issues and I get the delivery in couple of weeks.
