Is it possible to turn off the 3 loud reminders that you have the key on you when you exit your Jeep while it is running or on?

I just moved up from a 2018 Compass and this wasn’t an issue. The Uconnect software is different from model to model?

Hi all! Thank you for brining this annoyance to my attention. I double checked the Owner's Manual but couldn't find a way to turn it off. I will certainly make note of this and if an option to turn it off becomes available, we will let you know!

One option is to leave the key fob in the car.

It seems to sound the horn at very strange times though. If I remote start it, then open the door, get in with the key on me and close the door (not locking the door), the horn then sounds 3 times. Why? Does it think I may lock the key inside. Getting in after remote starting and the horn sounding gets me odd stares from people nearby who think I don't know how to work my vehicle.
I haven't tried remote starting yet. However, I agree it wouldn't make sense to sound the horn when getting in the vehicle. The horn should sound when remote starting but not again when getting in.

I get a honk when I do this with any door other than drivers.

I will remote start, open a back door with the key in my pocket, throw my bag in, close the door... 3 beeps. Embarrassing since everyone looks while I open the drivers door and get in. like someone else said, makes it seem like I have no idea what I'm doing.
Another scenario, remote starting in the garage, open the back door, put my infant daughter in, close door... 3 beeps. Startles my daughter and annoys the neighbors.
This "feature" is bad news all around. I honestly might start not using remote start at times just to avoid this.

huh? that's literally what you should be doing. If it wasn't a push button start car you would always have to leave the key in the car if you got out while it's running.
Why would you leave your key fob in a running car? What if someone took it? If I had a car with an actual key that starts the car, I wouldn’t leave it in the ignition while it was running.
The situation that I find all the time is something like running into the gas station for a drink/whatever. My wife is still in the car so I just leave it running and hop out to do whatever. Definitely don't want the car honking at me. Everyone is gonna think she is honking at me and pissed 😂

I own a pizza store and sometimes I deliver pizzas. When I get out of the car the horn beeps the customers think im honking at them. Need a way to turn this feature off

I just ran into this issue yesterday. I pulled the Jeep out of the garage and let it warm up in the driveway while I went to take the trash cans to the curb. As soon as I shut the door the horn beeps 3 times. Very annoying.

I know this is not a great fix or anything especially if it’s raining. When you get out of the car if you let the door shut but not all the way (slight latch that would keep the door ajar indicated) it won’t beep at all if you leave with the keys.
