are there crossbars available for a grand Cherokee L Overland with the panoramic sunroof. The dealer told me there are none available through the manufacturers website.

You can also get them from your local dealer. Just tell them to order part #82216036AB. Got mine for $247 from the dealer. I agree they are very quiet. I just wish they were wider.

I know I've been living in the past with my 2005 WK and such, but am getting the feeling I'm the last person in the world still using the Yakima round bar accessories.

wow, those OEM crossbars sit up HIGH! I saw an older thread where someone tried a yakima low-rider or comparable Thule and there wasn't anything for the tower to grab onto. Has anyone successfully mounted non-OEM crossbars and towers yet?
update: looks like yakima has a suggested foot/tower/pad combo:Screen Shot 2021-08-23 at 11.26.57 AM.png

I just can’t order these…the height is ridiculous - I have to get cross bars for my Thule box…3 kids and very regular road trips, Mt bike races, etc.

I sure hope Thule comes out with a lower profile option for my aero bars…but looking at the rails doesn’t give me much hope…

I thknk the height actually makes them quieter since farther away from sunroof. My Thule wingbars were way lower profile and sleeker but were noticeably louder. I figured gas mileage would also be hit more by Mopars but am not seeing a bad hit even with my cargo basket and traction boards. Still getting about 18.5-19mpg

I just got off the phone with the local rack shop, they said Thule still doesn't have a fit for the new yukon/tahoe/suburban which came out around this time LAST YEAR! I wouldn't hold my breath for thule to release a compatible fit anytime soon for our GCL's.
REI has all the right Yakima towers, landing pads and crossbars in stock but the total is $643. Much more expensive than the Plymouth-roadrunner-wing height OEM ebay special at $275. The rack shop guy said the Yakima towers sit up much higher than the thule's also. Shoot.

I had a chat with Thule Customer Service...he guessed that we should see something before the end of the year. They don't have an alert system/notification of when a new product comes out. So just need to check in on their website regularly

if you're looking for cross bars, i bought parts from Yakima and REI (because yakima didn't have everything in stock).

the landing pad #19 will fit the GCL's and now in stock
the skyline towers are out of stock but on REI
jetstream 50" and 60" are also out of stock but on REI

hope this helps someone! can't wait to get everything in!
