Info on backordered off-road package wheels?

I have a set of the wheels from the overland off-road package on order but as with everything right now they are backordered. Dealer says no ETA, so I'm looking for more info if anyone has anything. Are these expected to exist at some point? Anyone know when they might be available to order? Other thoughts?

This is for my winter tire setup so I would like to have them by Thanksgiving. Just trying to figure out if I need to start looking at other options if these won't be possible.

I don't think they've even allowed ordering the offroad package yet. Surprised they'd let you order the wheels from it. I wouldn't count on getting them by a certain date and I doubt you'll get much new information here. I ended up buying a set of the OEM 18 inch wheels off a prior model year Trailhawk (with the red Wrangler icon) with tires and less than a thousand miles on them before the buyer upgraded to 33" tires. Good price on eBay. Worth looking for a deal IMO.

Thanks and yeah that was my other option I was looking at. They are a decent looking wheel, I just liked the 2022 L MY wheels a little better. Thanks for your thoughts.

How much did you end up paying for those trailhawk wheels. I'm seeing people ask absurd prices for them $1200 for wheels and tires. Tires need to be replaced in this case, so not even worth anything.

$1400 with tires under 1000 miles on them. Looked new to me. Only thing is I thought the TPMS would work but didn’t. Wouldn’t have paid as much had I known that.

Wow ok I guess people aren't crazing asking so much for OEM takeoff wheels. Yeah grand Cherokee tpms won't work. You need something like Schrader 33560 cloneable or Schrader 29057 I think. You ever get tpms working

Installation yesterday at the dealership went fine. $100 to have all 4 installed and the tires rebalanced. They said they may need to charge more to program them but they programmed themselves. I was considering doing this at my local tire shop but they quoted me $200! Glad I went to the dealership for this one.

Thanks! I bought some trailhawk wheels for $700 including tires that I'll sell for $200 I hope. And then I bought Schrader 33560 tire pressure sensors. Getting everything mounted and balanced Sunday with my blizzack dm-v2 winter tires.

Glad you got your tpms sensors working, you might be the only person in the country that has it working. Finger crossed I'll be the only person to get non OEM sensors working, I programmed them already just need to see if they work.

Look for a set of Jeep Gladiator Upland or a Wrangler trim with 18 or 20s. I got some 20" black Gladiator wheels from a guy locally where I live in Knoxville, TN for $500 that are beautiful and put Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires on that I lucked out on and got for $600 (the lady was mad at her husband who she is separated from and said she has asked him for 8 months to get them out of her dining room... so, they are out of her dining room). LOL. But any 5x5 pattern wheel will work. The Gladiator Upland wheels had the same offset - 44.45. I haven't put them on mine yet, as I just got my GCL, but looking forward to putting them on for winter. My car is black, so it will look great.

18" trailhawk wheels with blizzack dm-v2 installed for winter. Using Schrader 33560 tpms. I like the setup, turned out looking good and cheaper than trying to buy the overland off-road wheels. PXL_20211222_200628349.jpg

Just following up on my comment the Schrader 33560 sensors don't work at this time. Maybe in the future when they updated the programming software. The Schrader 29057 also don't work, someone else in a thread tried them and failed. The only solution seems to be Mopar sensors at this time.

I finally got my L back from the dealer following a 2 week period where they had it to replace a drive shaft that separated from the axle, and put my 2nd wheel set with off-road tires on - 20" Gladiator wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler G2s. These are 265/50/20 - It was the largest tire I could fit on my WK2 without modifying, I think the WL could take a 275/55 without issue, but I was already set up here. I did have to get a set of wheel spaces to make these wheels clear the brake calipers. I found some 7mm White Knight pass-through spacers that worked like a charm without a need to replace lugs.

Those wheels look sharp on your L!

I agree, those are one of the best OEM wheel styles I've seen on this car.

Do you know the dimensions and offset of those wheels? I'm surprised they needed spacers. My WK2 20" wheels fit identical to the WL wheels, but I'm guessing the Gladiator and Wrangler wheels have a different offset?

If you could post some photos in sunlight, and from the rear as well, I'd be interested to see how they line up.

Here's mine:

Interesting re the spacers. I would have thought an ET44.5 wheel would be no problem, but the spokes are thicker/deeper on those wheels (to make them stronger I guess?), hence the caliper clearance issue, meaning they are now effectively ET37.5 with your 7mm spacer. You could probably fit 285 tires on at that point, with the rubbing not being an issue with the suspension knuckle, but the wheel well trim and pinch welds at full lock.

I really like that wheel style on there, it looks 'factory' and the design fits well with the big GCL size. Sharp.

FYI, you can also black out your chrome and reflectors, etc with precut 'stickers' from this site, if you're interested in any of that.

Thanks for that link! I will definitely check that out. I would love to do a blackout. I was working in the Atlanta area today and found someone selling some black 20" GCL Altitude wheels on Facebook, so I grabbed them while I could. Now I am all set with a second set of black wheels for my travel/street tires.
