Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

See, hearing about orders like these gives me a lot of hope. When you first placed the order, did the dealer ever tell you when you'd be getting yours by? Also, did you obtain all that info straight from your dealer, or did you contact Jeep Chat?
My dealer estimated that it would take about 7-9 weeks based upon their own order history. Then, for the detailed updates, I used Jeep Chat.

I got the Summit 4x4 with the V8 but the dealer never gave me an option for the offroad package for some reason. I don't think it's offered for the Summit or SR, but maybe that just had to do with availability during the time of my order.
It's not, it's only available for the Overland, and it comes standard on the Trailhawk. But I assume that the mounting locations are still there regardless of trim, so at some point I want to order the skid plates and mount them.

As far as I know, it's not available to order on any trim level right now. If it is/was then it would be available on Overland trims. Unfortunately, Summit and Summit Reserve don't get the off-road package as option.

I think they figure people won't want to offroad their 70K vehicles. However, the Mercedes G550 has a starting price of 132K. While the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are a better comparison to the G550, I feel they have missed a segment in the middle here which they could easily make a few extra bucks. Personally, I want the offroad package plus everything the Summit Reserve has -- except the ridiculously large 21" wheels.

I personally plan to purchase some 18" wheels for when I need them, and am hoping that Jeep was kind in designing the assembly such that we can simply just order and bolt on the the skid-plates ourselves without having to drill, cut, or weld anything.
I've got my 18" wheels and tires picked out, but I have to wait for Tirerack to start stocking the TPMS sensors for the L's. No rush.

Which ones did you pick out? I was looking at tirerack wheels the other day and was seeing warnings on the website about them possibly not fitting without making modifications to the fender or wheel wells.

Ordered a 22 SR with Hemi on 01/04. In D1 status as of 01/18. I thought i wouldn’t see D1 until end of February lol
I ordered the same 22 Sr V8... Dec 28th...still D.... my 21 just came in this morning lol if they lower the 21 by 5-8K I might take it was hoping the 22 would be on D1 at this point

My '21 finally got delivered to my dealer last Saturday. I told them I don't want it. My 22 SR V8 I ordered on 12/21 is in D1 with estimated build date of 1/26. Yours might be on that same schedule!

Ours was unloaded from the rail car today. Lets see how long it takes to make it to the dealership ~40 miles away 😂
So what direction are you from Twin Oaks? I'm near Trenton, NJ, so I'm also about 40-50 miles north of Twin Oaks. Unfortunately my dealer isn't Johnny on the spot with the updates, so if you're in my neck of the woods, I might hear it from you before I hear it from them :)

We’re actually in VA, but picking up our GCL from Chapman in Horsham, PA. It’s possible they could be out on the same delivery truck! I’ll keep posting updates here as I get them. 👍🏼

My '22 SR V6 finally got built on Saturday! Interestingly, I have a window sticker but not a build sheet (no deletes on the sticker!). Jeep Chat confirmed it has been released by the factory and is waiting on transit to Northern VA. The sticker shows a noticeable price hike since I ordered it back in October of ~$2100 though. Seems to be the case with stickers I've seen over the past few days. Hopefully the dealer will stick to the original pricing since I have a signed sheet with all pricing + taxes already. Looking like transit takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks?

My GCL SR V6 is built with no deletions(1/20). No build sheet but I got the window sticker. Advance ProTech IV and luxury tech V. Price is $2185 higher than when I ordered on 11/22.

For those of you who are seeing higher prices, did your dealers provide a POC based off the 2021 numbers? My window sticker is spot on to the pricing my dealer provided me when I placed my order on 10/20. They actually provided me the POC for the exact same build on a 2021 and 2022 so I was able to see the difference before confirming, which was about $2200 as others have stated. Curious as to why some folks are seeing higher than expected numbers, because if that were me, I wouldn’t be super excited.
