Saw this a few weeks ago when looking fir the fuse box. Asked one of the guys at the dealership (not a mechanic) and he didnt know either. Hoping somebody does!
They just dropped price again - $986
Been playing with my install. Had some (and still may) squeaking which i think was generated from the rear most body hanger making metal to metal contact with the hanger welded to the pipe. Didn’t have all the pipes fully engaged hence the total effective...
Installed the AFE exhaust yesterday. Well made and lined up perfectly. AFE's disassembly instructions left something to be desired though... With some help from a competitor's site and a bit of brute force/leverage I was able to remove the stock exhaust. Seems that Jeep has gone away from...
Will try that tomorrow.
on the CAI are you running with the “plug” installled or removed. According to the instructions it is a bit louder when not installed, allows more airflow but also allows warmer air into the intake..
But a long leadtime…
“We anticipate the 49-38100 Vulcan Series 2-1/4 IN to 2-1/2 IN 304 Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System to be available by mid-April.”
Thanks fir the extra video. Hard to tell between no intake and intake! That said i ordered the intake and will install and see what i think. fully expect to get the exhaust soon after!
Trailrated,
thanks for the videos! The intake alone sound good while the system sounds great. Was that recored after you let it break in a bit? Seems the exhaust provides the ”hemi farts” that my Durango R/T had when shifting. Miss that!
Without a baseline it is hard to tell how much the...
Trailrated, do you have it installed? Any videos?
Jake22, why a waste? Would t expect it to create any real hp gains but hoping it sounds good. Stock exhaust is way too quiet.
Mine lost pressure at 250 or so miles. Hose was loose and leaked. had it set to easy exit in park and it stayed that way. shop tightened it all up and re-charged the system and. Ow at 6,000 miles with (knock on wood) no further issues.
Whats interesting to me is that my Jeep seems to get ~15% worse mileage versus my 2019 Durango with the hemi. Shorter gear ratio may contribute…. Guessing that the durango trip computer was optimistic and hoping that the jeep’s is pessimisti. I need to check with real data to know.
