Still confused. The reveal video specifically said a range of 700km and the specs say the 4xe has a 72 litre tank so that's 10.3l/100km. Or am I missing something?
Yeah, I'm a bit confused by this also. In Metric terms that's 10.3 l/100km which is absolutely terrible for a hybrid. Guess we'll need to wait for some real world testing.
Not the same BennO. Yes it can recover braking energy but overall you're still draining the battery. On the Volvos and others you can use the ICE's alternator to recharge the battery to full.
I think the PHEV is an interesting option, just wish their implementation had the capability to recharge from the ICE like the Volvo PHEVs do. A 2 litre turbo petrol would be more than adequate for long distance cruising on relatively flat roads but I'd rather have battery capacity left for...
THE WK2 Summit also came with sunroof as standard. In 7 years I think I've opened it twice and that was just to see if it still worked! Don't want one but not a drama if it's standard, never stopped me fitting kayak cradles or rooftop tent.
