Just ordered today. Went with a white MY ‘22 Summit. Bench seats, and Lux Tech Grp V and got 6% below invoice.

The MSRP on it is $63,200 and invoice is $60,787. The 6% off invoice equaled a total of $5,985 off the vehicle. So my price is $57,139 before TTT.

Now the fun begins, seeing if I can get the vehicle delivered to me in Tampa, FL by December 31st….

Tread Lightly is dead. Stellantis killed the deal back in the early fall. My dealership is hopefull they will bring it back next year when things level out.
That's true, but, at the time of my statement that you are quoting from Sept. 8th, it was still in effect.

I got what I consider to be a good deal but not due to any great negotiation skills on my end. It was because Stellantis took care of me as a multi repeat customer. They went to bat for me a few times and I really appreciated it and wanted to share my reasoning on why I will be supporting them with purchases in the future.
Please bear with me because this is a bit long but I think it’s all important. 5 years ago I bought my second Dodge Durango. The dealer flubbed up the transaction, making errors in the quoted price and installing the incorrect trailer receiver. The dealer straightened all that out finally. Then I had a warranty issue with a ceiling AC duct that didn’t work. That was a nightmare and I ended up I bringing it to another dealer and they fixed it. So fast forward almost a year later. I never had to use the tow receiver until almost a year after I bought the truck. When I went to use it I find the lights to my trailer didn’t work. Turns out the dealer never programmed the wiring harness. I was in the process of moving and trying to tow but couldn’t. I tried to get the truck in as an emergency repair but no dealer would fit me. So I had to leave my stuff and get it months later. I had to pay to program the harness at another dealer because they said FCA wouldn’t warranty something like that only the installing dealer could. So I was pretty upset over that and that I now had to pay big bucks to have my stuff that I had to leave behind shipped to me. I contacted FCA who from here on in I will refer to as Stellantis because that’s their name now. They told me their dealerships are run independently so they couldn’t intervene but offered me employee pricing on my next car purchase. I wasn’t happy about that at the time because I just bought the truck and wouldn’t be buying a car for several years. I was told if the program was still in place I’d have access to it. I was leery, thinking the program probably won’t exist in 5 years. Little did I know then that due to the pandemic and shortages how valuable that program would become. So here we are 5 years later. I need a new car bad and fast. I go to dealers and see trucks selling at msrp sticker prices as well as market adjustments of $7500-$10000 over sticker price. So I contacted Stellantis to see if they would honor their promise they made to me several years ago. They said yes of-course and issued me a CDI. So I go to a few local dealers and am stunned when they said sorry we are not honoring that discount. We have a shortage and can’t. They proceed to quote me sticker price or over sticker and give me a “top dollar offer” on my trade. (Sense my sarcasm). The trade values were within a thousand of each other. One of them couldn’t find any rebates being offered either. Disheartened and quite angry I contacted Stellantis on full blast. I said their dealership support is awful. I said nobody will honor their employee pricing so their program is worthless to me and being their dealers are charging sticker or above, the playing field has been leveled and I no longer had a reason to stay in the Stellantis family of vehicles. A week goes by and I was lucky enough to find a dealer that would accept the EP. They look at my truck and I’m waiting to be offered a joke of a figure but it shockingly doesn’t happen. They offer me $6500 over that the other highest offer has been. They show me the numbers. Everything looks good. I noticed the EP price looked like 1% under invoice not the 5% I thought EP was. I was told no it differs in every vehicle but it’s usually 1%. They also found $1000 in rebates that I was eligible for. (The first dealer apparently didn’t bother looking too well). Not knowing the exact discount formula I said ok let’s do it cuz I was excited I was not paying msrp or over in this current environment. So I give a deposit. When I first test drive a GCL at one of the dealers unwilling to accept EP I drove a velvet red one I liked that color. The dealer I made my deal w didn’t have the red equipped how I wanted. I contacted a dealer an hour away from me and they had it and said they would accept EP and listed the price. I never compared the figure thinking it was the same being they both accepted the EP. I then decided I would just get the Baltic Grey because I liked it and the dealer was the first to accept EP for me and I figured I’d service my vehicle there because it was much closer. So I buy it and pick it up. Several days later I read on here about EP pricing versus affiliate or friends and family discount. Then I look at the price the second dealer with EP gave me and the figure I received. I see it’s different and get a sick feeling in my stomach. I’m like damn it I’m screwed. The deal is done I can’t reset the clock. I emailed the dealer but it was a holiday weekend. I heard nothing. I will say I’m pretty sure the error was not intentional. When the sales mgr was verifying the CDI in the other room I overheard him speaking to the other sales mgr and he stated “ yeah it’s legit… I haven’t seen one of these in a long time, I think this is the figure right here. So he must have looked at the wrong number. I contacted my contact person at Stellantis. She confirmed my CDI number was for actual EP and not affiliate or friends and family. It was the 5% below invoice figure. Then I told her what happened and she stepped up to the plate for me again. Remember that she issued me the CDI so that was at bat number one. She contacts the dealer and straightened it out pronto and they issued me a check for the difference including the affect on sales tax. So now I’m extremely happy. But then Stellantis calls me a day later and checks to make sure I’m happy. I say you bet I’m happy. I thank her up and down. Then she asks me if I bought an extended warranty when I bought the car. So I say no I didn’t but I intend on keeping it fir probably 5 years so it makes sense to do it and probably would during my period of eligibility. She said “you said you would probably keep it 5 years? How many miles do you think you might put on it by then?” I say about 55,000 or 60,000. I am thinking she is working out what the cost of the various plans would be at tat mileage. She goes to bat yet again and says “ Stellantis has got it for you”. I said What… what do you mean? She replies we really appreciate your business over the years and are very sorry you went through so much trouble now and years ago. We want to make it right. I am going to give you our most comprehensive coverage for 6 years 85,000 miles no deductible. How does that sound. I said that sounds unbelievable to me. So now I have factory coverage for the entire period I plan on keeping the car. When you add up the EP discount plus the $1000 in rebates and then add in the warranty I saved $15000 over what I would have paid if I bought that first GCL at the dealership that would not play ball. I will be buying another Stellantis vehicle in the future to return the favor.
I apologize for such a long post but I think it was all important to tell everything that happened. I realize the GCL is a brand new product and there will likely be growing pains and hiccups because it’s first generation. That’s ok with me. I am extremely confident Stellantis will have my back.

It was dead this summer. Some dealers, especially high profile ones doing deep discounts on special orders would “honor it”. I saw the official notice (July I think) to the dealers saying the program was cancelled until further notice.

I wanted to add that I think Stellantis has been great. I would just advise choosing your dealership wisely. Your experience will hinge greatly on your choice. I’m thankful Stellantis stepped up a few times to make things right for me. Especially during a time when dealerships are kicking the consumer when we are down due to the effects of the pandemic. I for one will remember the ones that tried to put the screws to me and those that didn’t. I definitely will repay the favor to Stellantis when the time comes. I had two Durangos for a total of 10 years. Only issue I had was a crushed AC duct which was covered under warranty. I feel that’s a pretty good track record. My issues have all been dealership related. Like I said choose wisely.

Bumping this on the list - anyone that recently bought mind posting your deal? I have been looking online quite a bit this last week or so. Zeroing in on Overlands - but want the air suspension. Have found a few still out there. What are the deals looking like? If any at all?

Buying off the lot - don't expect much of a deal unless it's a demo with significant mileage on it.

Factory orders - it looks like this is the means to get somewhat of a deal which will be partially offset by the hither price for the 22s.

I paid MSRP. It's a local dealer who in the past sold for a few hundred over invoice, but I had no problem paying MSRP now, as his volume has obviously taken a hit. I just ordered multiple new vehicles from him, which I'm waiting on delivery of. I'm rural, so don't have as many dealers around as some of you, but have no doubt if I shopped it with other dealers 30-100 miles away, I could have gotten a better price, but was willing to support the local dealer and pay MSRP.

In October I bought a limited for 5% under invoice. This month I bought an overland for 5% under invoice as well but had to go further out to find a dealer willing to honor a CDI number. So I had CDI numbers for both purchases. Both trucks were on the lot. The dealer I bought the first one from didn’t want to honor a CDI number again unless I bought a particular Overland that was sitting on their lot since June. I didn’t want that one. It was black and I just had a black truck so I wanted a different color. It also didn’t have the luxury package or the advanced pro tech package. I wanted both. It’s getting hard to find one that is 4x4 with tow package and air suspension. You may have to order a 22 for those features. I actually didn’t want the air lift. That’s expensive to fix when it goes. In the northeast I think it’s just a matter of time before the salt causes problems with it and I will never off road with it. Some dealers are market adjusting the price up. Some are selling at sticker. If you have access to some sort of discount program keep looking until you find a dealer that will honor it. They are still out there. I bet with the 22s rolling in that they might cut a deal on a 21 pretty soon.

7% off invoice… it is a special order that I put in on 11/24. It was originally 6% off invoice but in early December Jeep brought back the 1% Tread Lightly discount. So, that was tacked back onto my deal.

I just purchased a GCL Overland msrp $60,480...haggled to $58,840. The dealership gave me an incredible trade value on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon....purchased the Rubicon January 2020 for $39,000 put 23,000 miles on it and they offered me $45,000 in on trade. My advice is take advantage of the used car values which are up 40% and get something new off the lot. Just my 2 cents.

New member here, appreciate all of the great info and friendly nature of this forum.

We ordered a '22 GCL SR in mid-November, got 7.5% dealer discount off MSRP (not off invoice). I'm in FL, but used a broker this time (too busy with work/family to grind down a dealer at this time, in this psychotic environment). Good thing too, because the much lower doc fee at this out-of-state dealer (most know that FL has freaking laughable doc fees) basically covers the cost of having the thing flat-bedded to our driveway for delivery.

The downside to that is if my local dealer doesn't want to give me their full attention for service since I didn't buy there (tried, but the salesman we previously connected with never returned my text when I essentially told him I was ready to order -- so I moved on -- there's no way they would've come anywhere near that price).

At the time of sale, the dealership OFFERED to grant me the additional 1% Tread Lightly/FCA Affiliates discount when the model is eligible, but they say it's not at this time (our GCL isn't going to be here until mid-January at best). I saw the pictures posted that seem to prove that the GCL is indeed eligible (at least that's what I thought it says), so like others probably, I emailed FCA Affiliate Rewards. They replied, pretty quickly, that it is an EXCLUDED model but the info they sent indicates that it might be added back in "as the calendar year approaches."

So that means, if I understood TampaHoosier's info correctly, FCA Affiliate Rewards gave me incorrect info -- not much I can do about that. I'll hold my frustration with FCA until they try to not give me the discount when the GCL actually makes it to the selling dealer sometime next month -- if I'm lucky.

Trade in value is what pushed us to purchase. We were offered a crazy amount for our 2015 Toyota Sienna with 100k miles on it. Just hope Jeep has figured out the electrical gremlins for model year 22 for all of you that have an order placed.
