GC L 4xe

Hello, Does anyone have any news, updates or idea when/if we will get a 4xe for the GCL? Jeep always seems just slightly behind the ball. They finally add a 3 row option (about time) but it comes with no hybrid? Any news? Thanks!

Or the twin turbo inline 6 cylinder (PHEV would still be nice here as well). I know they have been working on it.

The naturally aspirated V8 falls short of more modern competing engines which are lighter, more powerful, and more fuel efficient. Turbos are really helpful at higher altitudes as well. It seems like the 2.0l and the 6 cylinder turbo engine offerings are good replacements for the current pentastar V6 and hemi V8 options.

I read somewhere that the batteries interfere with the 3rd row. I wouldn't be surprised if it never happens
It would be an extremely poor business decision to never offer a PHEV version. Stellantis has already signaled that they realize the future is in electrification, so it will happen. But as the original poster asked, it's a question of when.

Hard to believe. I mean, they are planning the design and launch for a decade now (and as FlyingAvocado said, Jeep made the pledge to offer electrification on ALL vehicles by a certain date and that date is prior to the introduction of a new model) and all of a sudden realize that the batteries wouldn't fit? LOL! Curious how Lincoln got the batteries and a third row into our shorter Aviator...

They made the pledge as far as one president to another is in office. Not political by any means but the requirement to go green for the auto manufacturing companies seems highly specific to which isle is in office. But I agree the wave of the future is electric… is it better for the environment? Meh up for debate!

Thought I read somewhere the hurricane engine was dead. Major disappointment bc that thing would have been SIIIIICK.
