Placed my order for GCL Overland w/ 5.7, UConnect 5.0 w 10.1 Display, Adv.Pro Tech Group lll, Luxury Tech Group lV.
Tempted to step up to Summit/Summit R but, Love the exterior but not a fan of the odd stitching contrast of seats and wood grain choice used.
I inquired about the Off Road package, I like the Wheels better and a more aggressive tire for winter use, but no longer an option for ‘22 in the Overland. Not sure of other trim levels.
Actually a bit surprised they are not offering the 5.7 w eTorque, not that I truly believe it improves fuel economy, had one in a 1500 years back. Just thought it was interesting that it is not offered. I am guessing its due to the release of the 4xe
Going to be a big change from my ‘21 RAM 2500.
I talked to my dealer today and they only had the 22’ Limited & Summit Reserve as options. What dealer did you go through? I’m interested in the Overland or Summit

@CSmith I ordered from Bergey's in Souderton PA, but have found a better deal at Chapmans in Horsham PAand currently renegotiating at Bergey's or I am jumping. As noted above, this is a Grand Cherokee L and the 22's can be ordered in many models.

This is the sub forum for the GC (WL74). There is a separate sub forum for the GCL (WL75).

Is anyone ordering a WL74 at or below MSRP? Are there any incentives available, such as current Jeep owner? Curious, as my daughter is shopping for a Kia, and dealers are above MSRP and won't budge.

I ordered at MSRP. It's at a dealer I've dealt with before, who historically has sold around invoice, give or take, but with his volume way down, I wasn't even going to attempt to negotiate and was willing to pay MSRP. The flip side, is even on the hottest cars, he also isn't charging over MSRP, which he thinks is wrong (a lot of dealers for hot cars, Escalades, GT500's, even some with Wagoneers and others, are charging over MSRP).

I'm sure I could have negotiated a better deal, but will save that for future car purchases, when his volume normalizes.

I also orders a 2 row summit reserve 5.7 (white exterior, black interior), I ordered mine on August 31st and was told the other day by my dealer that is scheduled for build on November 5th.
I wasn’t aware that an order could even be placed in August. I thought they opened it up fur ordering around September 29th. In any case, have you received any updates on your build? Did they actually get started on Nov 5th? My order was placed in early October, so I’m interested in your timing.

I really want the Summit 4xe. However, my last Grand Cherokee was rear ended and totaled in July and I have been scrambling ever since. Wanted to wait for these new 2022 2-rows to come out and really want the 4xe. The problem is I can't wait much longer to get a car and even ordering a gas one it is still going to be at least two months. What are the chances that the 4xe is coming soon vs. delayed until the middle to end of 2022. Definitely can't wait that long. Any advice?

I'm also waiting for the 4xe, but Jeep's silence regarding the availability is testing my patience. The web site claims it will be available in Winter 2021, but the fact that they can't be ordered yet tells me something is amiss. @JeepCares

I talked with the sales manager at the dealership here yesterday. He said they just received the basic training but no pricing, no order date yet for the 4xe. Their regional manager doesn't have the details yet. Same for the Kia EV6 which is advertised as delivery starting in January but no ordering or pricing yet. The Mach-e keeps getting delayed. The marketing departments and executives keep putting stories out there to keep people from defecting to which ever one comes out first in a reasonable volume and price. Guess when the supply chain goes back to normal in a year ordering/building/delivery will be back to normal.

The good thing about 2 of the 3 mentioned above is they are in the marketplace (Mach-e the 4xe Wrangler) so the engineering is mostly done for the GC 4xe

Does anyone think going and test driving the Wrangler 4xe to get a feel for the engine would be worth it? I know the vehicle is a completely different ride

It would be a fun time for you but that's it. Totally different vehicles on how they drive, curb weight, clearance off the ground, etc;

Well, heard that the 4xe might be delayed well into 2022 maybe even the end of 2022. So I went ahead and ordered the Summit gas version.

You must be talking about the "L" version since my dealer can't order the 2 row version yet.

Got a call from my closest dealer saying that the Overland can now be ordered. I went to order and the Off Road Package was not available in their ordering system in addition to a few other minor choices (two tone paint, tire choices). I thought I would give it a couple of more weeks to see if there are any updates to what they can order.

Thanks for the update, I’m waiting for the overland with the off road group so keep us posted!

I Ordered a two-tone Bright White 2022 GCL Summit Reserve (25U) with the V8, Luxury Tech Group V, Adv ProTech Group IV, and Bright Side Steps on 11/6.
11/10 had a VIN and Status was "D-Firm schedule serial number is assigned"
11/15 Jeep Chat said "Your vehicle is in scheduling with parts being gathered. No Dealer ETA yet"
11/20 Jeep Chat said "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. No Dealer ETA yet."

That's awesome! Do you know if your vehicle will have the rear seat entertainment/Amazon Fire TVs.
