I tried changing the color on my order and the dealership was firm that its not possible to do so. I had placed the order just 6 days prior...
Ask your dealer if the order has been scheduled for production; if it has been scheduled, then no changes are allowed.

They told me changes to my order weren't allowed even if I went in the very next day. I chose black interior based on how dark and poopy colored the "Tupelo leather" looked on the website. After seeing a couple of vids on youtube, I changed my mind since the real color was lighter and richer. The black is good too so I am not complaining. I like that the black leather has brown threads which stand out.

If they're being that inflexible, and if the deposit is refundable, I'd find a new dealer. You're the customer, but yet it sounds like it's the other way around. Next thing you know, the F & I guy will be dictating what packages you must buy. IMO, not worth it.

Yes it is. I just went back and forth and am changing my order on my summit reserve because the dealer agreed that the silver zynith looks nothing like the confgurator on line. The launch pictures of the medium gray color is actually the Baltic grey...
Wife and I ordered a Summit Reserve last week in silver. Looking forward to seeing it now. Ordered the 5.7, so, don’t know of they’re doing those yet, but excited to start seeing them.

FYI my dealership has been awesome and was on my side that the Baltic grey and silver zynith actual colors weren't reflective in the configurator vs. real life paint
sales manager and owner of my dealer spoke directly to corporate and I received word a few hours ago that they changed my color from silver zynith to baltic grey at no cost and said it didn't change my spot in line for production. Sounds like your dealer needs to try a little harder. These guys have been great and I've never worked with them before. Hoping the rest of the transaction goes as smoothly.

Ok,

Dunno if it helps anyone, but Marino CDJR dealership in north Chicagoland just called me and told me they have a Summit that is in their store for viewing and test drive TODAY ONLY.
Figures that I’d be on shift and unable to at least touch it in person…..

We ordered our Summit R, Baltic Gray w/5.7 at the end of April. It finally received a VIN on Monday. Can't wait!!!

So if I'm reading all these threads right, we should be seeing the GCL hit dealership lots by next week sometime?? Or is it wishful thinking lol I'm way too excited!

We got our VIN# today. ”D” status on the invoice.
I ordered on May 6th and got a VIN (D status) on May 15th. Still hasn’t moved to D1. I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason since you obviously put in before me so it’s not FCFS or anything. Maybe it’s regional?

I can ask my dealer if they have any insight. I would guess that the majority of it would be the production run scheduling. I ordered a Summit R in 5.7 and maxed options. Who knows when all those parts are stacked-up and ready for install.
