Transmission heater black clear coat???

I am driving myself nuts between the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee L.

Today I got on the build site for the L again and first noticed that now the only monotone color is Black diamond. And the. Underneath with the two tone there is Transmission Heater Black Clear coat. I toggled back and forth between both colors and I think it’s actually a midnight blue, which might push the L over the top.

Has anyone else seen this/noticed the color change/have any info?

Several folks are trying to figure this out.

I wonder if the deep/midnight blue on the Wagoneer is the same as the Transmission Heater offered on the GCL. Maybe the paint codes are the same. Any dealership folks here that can let us know?

I posted the following on another forum from my research.

Digging further into the Build and Price tool, the color is actually Blue Pearl for "Transmission Heater". When selecting a color in the build tool the URI changes to include the paint code, which results in "PCQ" as the Paint code.

Paintref.com has a great lookup for these paint codes to provide insight into what other vehicles have used the same paint code and the paint is called "Blue Pearl" on the 1994 Chrysler/Dodge models. Here is a direct link: Paintref PCQ Code Usage

To validate my hunch, I selected Velvet Red and the code is "PRV" ultimately matching the paintref lookup - List of Jeep Models using that Code

Hopefully my assumptions above are correct and it is actually blue.

Thanks for guiding us here. I don't want to be wrong, but I'm almost certain it's same blue that's on the Grand Wagoneer that's called "Midnight Sky Pearl." Here goes a reference link for PCQ: https://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/chrysler/2021/all-models/.

Also, in this article Midnight Sky Blue is listed as a color exclusive to the Grand Wagoneer: https://www.aventurachryslerjeepdodgeram.com/jeep-reveals-the-2022-jeep-wagoneer-and-grand-wagoneer/

And to further stir the pot, that color is no longer available on the build and price tool. Wasn’t there today when I looked. I’m unsure as to when it was removed.

You got to be kidding me! Man. I was really looking forward to a blue Grand Cherokee this time around.
