Has anyone had the latest software loaded by your dealer? Did it help?

I recently lost the off road pages on my Uconnect center display. I have also had a few connection issues with my phone and my wife's phone.
Talking with my dealer, it sounds like they have a new software package to load which is part of the rear view cameral recall.
I'm scheduled to get it installed on Thursday. In the mean time I'm curious if anyone else has had the new update loaded and if it fixed any of your issues?

thx

I just got it installed today. We've had our GCL for about a month, and the Uconnect worked great with both of our phones due about two weeks, but had been problematic ever since. I can't report much, but it did seem better so far. I did have to reconnect my phone after the install. But it worked flawlessly on the way home. I even stopped at a gas station and when I got going again it picked my phone back up almost instantly. We'll see how it goes.

Does your hotspot work? (or maybe it already did for you)

Well I had the software updated as part of the rear view camera recall yesterday... 30 minutes and out the door.
The off road pages are back! Also the CarPlay connected quicker and seems more stable. I haven't noticed anything else that changed (a good thing)
I was also happy that the update didn't impact our 2 driver profiles or any presets we have saved. (I was not looking forward to reloading all that!)

Bottom line... go get the update.

I took to the dealership and he loaded the file on his thumb drive. Plugged into vehicle and it kept giving VIN errors. Going back next Friday when jeep tech will be there. Hopefully I get the same results you see

I think I read somewhere on here that the drive has to be 16gb max.

Just got my Jeep back after 3 days there. Off road pages are there, most of my stuff is now working.
If I hit the weather app screen goes black and back to the apps screen, Alexa app is gone now? so it is still not right but butter then before.

Jeep Cares post said it takes about 2 days for the apps to update OTA after the recall.

They did update a few hours after home, when it was done I went to the apps Alexa showed and disappeared as fast as I saw it and the Weather app still does not work after the update, just flashes the screen.

Where do you find this? Trying to see if my car has the update already as my vin number on unconnects website says no update available
It’s at the bottom of the settings page… I think it’s called updates.

Good morning!

To find the software information for your Uconnect system, you can follow these steps:

Go to “Vehicle Settings” then select “ System
Information” and look for “Radio version”

If you have any questions, feel free to let us know!

I had it scheduled for yesterday because I couldn’t get the wifi hotspot turned on. Of course, it decided to work yesterday before I took it to the dealer. Went ahead and kept the appointment and had it updated. Too soon to tell yet, but still don’t have off road pages back. Others have said that can take a day or two for the apps to download.
